You always have such beautiful visions, Alector! ^_^ And I like the little things you put into your picture... like the poster of the four people walking in the same posture, symbolizing the uniformity of mundane everyday life, contrasting that to the beauty of dreams. :D

Just a quick note - that's actually a really famous poster of the band The Beatles (http://www.shockya.com/news/wp-cont.....atles_walk.jpg) - but done as foxes. Sorry! Just had to add that since it's one of my favorite details in the image because of what it represents musically.
Alector- your did a beautiful job with this. I really love the effect of imaginative world breaking into the 'real' world. The transition really is emotional and speaks very clearly to me.

I love your attention to the detail of the forest and the room and I lovelovelove the transition you pulled with the room fading away into the forest. The way you do it makes it seems as though he's drifting away and getting lost in the music he creates. The lines and values you've made with the transition also creates sound. I can almost HEAR the room as it cracks and breaks down to reveal the forest. But the sound is subtle and far from sounding abrasive to the ears.
I also adore how you did Foxamoore. His expression shows that he is pleased and content, lost in what is going on around him. It really helps set the mood of the image. He's also obviously fuzzy, which I personally like. Gaah. I love that tail <3 So poofy.

Oh, this is such a lovely gift and tribute from one artist to another. I think you've really outdone yourself this time. Most especially, the lighting just blows me away. This is just so beautifully done, and the effort and care really show in such an amazing fashion. And the details, oh the details. Again, beautiful work.
Unfortunately, to go along with your quite eloquent metaphor, currently feel like I'm standing in front of a glass door and I've misplaced my key. Very frustrating. Recently though, a comic artist here on FA whom I've been watching for a while, actually requested a story from me for one of his characters. That lifts the spirit quite a bit, I'll tell you. I'm hoping now that doing that piece will help me find that misplaced key.

This pic speaks the truth. Music takes us away from reality and into our own worlds. It helps us create new worlds with no stress, no pain, no suffering, no death...only life, love, peace and beauty. Music is amazing. Without it...the world would be boring and plain. No one likes that!

Allein von der Ausführung her stellst du mit diesem Bild viele der alten Meister in den Schatten,
aber viel größer noch als die Schönheit ist das Gefühl, das das Bild vermittelt. Dieses seelige
sich selbst verlieren in einer fernen Welt wenn man zu so wundervollen Klängen wie denen
von foxamoore lauscht, wenn die Welt um einen herum zu verschwinden scheint und
man sich wünscht es würde so bleiben.
Musik und visuelle Kunst haben für sich allein schon tiefe Wirkung auf unsere Seele, aber
so harmonisch vereint wie hier in diesem Fall übertreffen sie alles an Ausdrucksstärke und

When I look at that picture I see a face profile in the background, above the player it's in the upper left quadrant. The eye is that white blob, the nose is define by the contour of the tree trunk then lower you can see the shape of a mouth then a chin. The face is looking toward the left

This moves me in ways beyond the imagination. With an impact so deep within me, I know, being an intensely creative musician myself, that this incredible piece of art must indeed have struck a chord in the extreme depths of Foxamoore 's soul. Thank you both for being such powerful inspirations in my ever evolving life! Sound and Music are the keys to creation, Art is a magnificent manifestation of divine will, in all the forms it takes. This level of expression is a vital tool on our path to the stars; an astoundingly beautiful sign of what is to come: A golden age of dreams and reality merging, of our own broadening perception, and of the amalgamation of all energies great and small. Ready or not, this is the time in which our race ascends to an ultimate plain of existence!

This is in every way a represenation of my own self, and when looking at this piece I found this landscape surprisingly familiar, as though I'd been there before... Loving the use of detail, and especially the little furry picture stuck up on the wall. Nice little touch of humour in such a beautifully constructed world.
Simply put, I love it. This is going straight to a desktop background, and I would adore a large-scale poster if I were able to afford it. Well done.

Wow....that is an amazing image and one I can really relate to. I used to take long bike rides into the woods for days on end just listening to some ambient or trance electronica; it always seemed to fit the ambience and wonder of the world around me despite the irony of being technology dependent and technology very bad for nature :P

Also, I definitely couldn't draw like this, or do the breathtaking shading or lighting like you do, but based upon Western reading direction, this pic is the wrong way around. As we Westerners see and read things left-to-right, the fantasy world is not opening up, it's closing in and giving way to reality.
