*smiles* Being an anteater, Chiman had never seen a hippo up close and personal, and this one seemed to be more than willing to make that first meeting as close and personal as possible. I guess the hippo didn't want to pass up the opportunity of his own first meeting with an anteater. :D
I've always loved seeing hippos in a predatory role, and this picture beautifully fulfills those desires. I love the thick tongue and the way the hippo is almost teasing Chiman by going slow, and Chiman's expression is perfect, having more of a nervous uncertainty, than terror and panic.
My thanks to BDR for taking on the series and continually doing such a wonderful job with each of them.
