Uh.. Bout 9h of Work.
Its always interesting to see something being infected with the Keranidae.. how the anatomy changes.. the character it self changes. Every Infected is unique and hat its own "mark" as you can see on the shoulder. Its somewhat the trademark of an Infected as same as the anatomy of the yaw and the blue blood[body fluids]
As well as I will "never" do the same thing with Keranids as Mick did with the Sergals which does not have to do anything with my creation, im just quite aggrevated that I'm often mistaken as a one. The design of Keranidae is bout 9 years old and was not "changed" much from the original design I have in my head. Just more detailed. A Keranidae Infected is something only I will design[with the owner of course] as same as the Icon on it. If I do, what you draw with him is not up to me, but I will not start flooding FA with infected fursona and also I will decide if I make you infected should they ever get this popular.
Dont get me wrong, id LOVE to see other people use my race, its just.. Keranids are my very own masterpiece on which I will work a lifetime. And I want them to "stay" special.

She only said that after they'd been exposed on 4chan. :/ She knew there would be no way to stop the from being used, so she put that copyright rule on it to make sure she was given credit.

Keranids function as one, they share a information network where every individual can access every information, that's how they evolve so quickly. Also an Infected can not give birth, BUT they can for a fact infect others. because that is why they get those strange looking teeth. Which inject three different types of "seeds" at once. The original has its FULL potential and is fully integrated in the "hive mind" in contrary to the infected which has most of the positive effects like.. no ageing, can access the information network, also will be integrated in the community if wanted, but they are not able to reproduce, have limited ability of regeneration, are more physical and mental unstable and need a lot of time to get used to there new "brain". As the keranidae spreads it changes the whole body-structure and integrates the information of all generations saved in the genes into the information network.
Keranids are not able to reproduce infinitely and are extremely in danger if they do because of the enormous energy loss. They are originally parasitic, so they used the ability to spread through infection. AND an infected is indeed able to Reproduce with an original. But in that case the death rate of the infected lies at.. like 70% because originals have a higher energy capacity and the pregnancy takes about 9 years. Which is not much if you think that a freshly born Keranid has already every information implanted that it needs to interact, and act on its own. Although they still need to form a strong and solid character. Since they don't age they have no limit in lifespan. The oldest are like 2milion years old, even so they are NOT immortal.

Well.. Keranids something "between" Physical and non physical. They eat rarely, mostly live from a "lot" of water [8l-10l] a day and to maintain the Physical form they feed on matter and to feed their enormous need of energy they use the planets raw energy directly. Also they are able to use what I call "natural" unformed energy which they channel from different dimensional spaces. On a cellular level they are by FAR more clean than the one on earth which prevents the cells from damaging through schizogenesis like like they usually do.
What I indeed want to involve is the "fact" that energy it self is a fact to exist and does give a factor in everything that lives.[besides I am working a lot with metaphysics]

What inspired me.. I guess my visions, nightmares, and spiritual self through my whole life. Basically I love everything that represents what is in my head. Like... hr.giger, luis roya, boris valejo, Tsutomu Nihei and gncd for example. Or Comics like Resident Evil, Darkness or Witchblade. But what by far got nearest is Prototype.
You could say, like people love wolfs because for them it feels like more familiar than humans. Its for me art of those named. For me that is what I call home.
For reasons.. Well you can not live a normal life with an infected body, you life "for ever" which means longer than every body so know, your body wont ever be the same. The main point of the contract is that it can not be reverted. The code of the Keranidae even writes itself into the soul which means that if you "die" and reinkarnate you will still infected with the keranidae. Depending on the body you have than the physical form will change more or less but what stays are the memories that will start to eat up the ones you have at that point. the Keranidae it self has a system that goes beyond life an death. Its like a plague spreading with no cure. Also you indeed have the burden to take that your mind needs to be very strong to stay sane. Especially at the beginning of the transformation.
The positive thing on it is that you will be a part of the Keranidae for ever.. which means you will always have someone at your side. You don't need to eat, have basically unlimited stamina, don't sweat or smell any more, have better sight no more sicknesses, you are able to use what I call the "second face" an ability that is imprinted to your soul and ONLY to yours. Which also is a reason why Keranids infect other to copy those abilities. They not only copy the physical ones but the ones of you previous incarnations too, so you basically give am a "multipass" to your existence. Uh.. with the keranidae you become somewhat of perfect being. So it does have its two sides of the coin if you think about it.
