Eh...Most of the paintings I start I don't ever finish. I really need to though...
1) Yusei and Stardust Dragon (Yugioh 5D's). Okay, I don't really like this one anymore. I'm still really happy with how I interpreted Stardust dragon. And I'm actually happy that I drew a person and a "motorcycle". I think that's why I need to finish this one. I have no idea what to do with that background though. Maybe Yusei's on the track that they duel on? I dunno. I should finish this though. If I do though, I might go back and redo he painting of those scales. They're nice, but that shading and lighting could stand to be a lot better.
2) Buck (Ice Age 3). I started this one nearly right after I saw Ice Age 3. So...whenever that came out. I barely have most of his face painted. It's really sad. It'll be good to at least finish painting the leaf eye patch.
3) Vulpix (do I really have to say where it's from?!). Yeah...I'm sure people are really tired of seeing wips of this one. But it's technically almost done. Though with some tips from Katanimate, I might go over the neck some to create some clumps in the fur as well as intensify the lighting and shading a little bit.
4) Vulpix (...ditto above). Baby Vulpix to be exact. Where as I used a Fennec Fox reference on the previous one, I used a Red Fox ref on this one. I stopped working on it because I had no idea how to color the eyes. But then I figured out how to color the eyes and yet I still never went back to work on it. The previous vulpix picture is a year old or so. This one's gotta be much older.
There's a ton more WIP's just sitting on my computer. But 4's enough for this bundle.
Time after time, I try to work through finishing detailed pictures like these and time after time they just end up sitting there. I love drawing realistic stuff, but I wonder sometimes if it's even worth the effort when I know they'll take forever and a year to finish. ^^;
Anyways, I'll at least try to finish that first Vulpix picture this year.

actually I don't think the lighting is too bad.... it sort of looks like a sunset or sunrise. But i think i really like it because of the way the fur flows :)
you wouldn't happen to have a tutorial on the way you make fur would you? I'm always trying to get better at it. What I have as my icon is the best I've gotten so far :P

Yeah, that's why I like that one too. The fur looks so much better than the other ones 'cause it's actually working like fur. I'll have to try to fix the other ones to make the fur more "lively" like that one. I just don't know how to work the background with that lighting.
I have an old tutorial I made but I need to make a new one that works more the fur style that I have now and with what I've learned about painting fur over the past couple of years. ^^;
