As mentioned before, Cyrus had made pokemon and humans equal by changing their forms into equalized pokemorphs. But to say they are the same, however, is a shallow statement. Morphs and Mons are quite different. Morphs are civilized pokemorphs who act very much like humans do. Mons, on the other hand, are pokemorphs who behave more like pokemon do.
While most Morphs were human and most Mons Pokemon, the line is so wuzzy that it can tip either way. Morphs can give in to the urges of the pokemon side and be reduced to the behaviors of Mons. Likewise, it is possible to educate and teach Mons to make them behave more like Morphs.
Jean Luc is such an example of a former Mon. As Ash's pikachu, he'd experienced many of the human experiences along his journeys. He had already caught on to many of the ideas of it as a pokemon so when he was changed into a pokemorph, the transition wasn't too hard. He picked up Ash's old clothes and found they fit perfectly. His speech is perfectly fluent and his behavior very human. Of course, he has adopted some of Ash's old attitude as a trainer.

So Pik-errrr I mean Jeanluc (looks warily around for any possible thunderbolts coming my way) has chosen to wear human clothing and act in the fashion in which a human does. Interesting, and just a thought, but can't they just eat berries and vegetables and be fine? I mean, pokemon did that all the time in the wild and still can can't they?
To be precise, Jean Luc has transcended the boundary between Mon and Morph - by all means he should be classified as a Mon, but thanks to his direct exposure to the Red Chain's effects (he was at Ground Zero, after all), he had became a morph instead.
As for the berries, yeah, that's what I think, but there's still some arguments in the group about how that'll work.

true, with the lands thrown into chaos there probably isn't a large store to go round and things will be difficult for a while until people are able to grow orchards in the peaceful lands for all their berries to grow. Though with a little help from the plant pokemon that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Just use growth right?
In my final Casper fan-fic, Anthroo is the secret identity of the ypung witch Terry Belle, who found 2 spells, one to turn herself into an anthro animal, the other to reverse the change. The spells were kept in the Restricted Section of the Domdaniel Library -and for good reason !
The change was more than a physical one, there was a mental change, much like you describe for humans becoming pokemon. This became more obvious each time she used the change -and then control was lost ! It became easier to become Anthroo each time -and harder and more painful to become human again ! There were times when she had to say the reversion spell TWICE to restore herself to humanity ! Also Anthroo was becoming more irascible, uncontrollable. The authroties stepped in ...
Terry Belle had to surrender the scrip with the spells, and have a memory flush to remove her using them from heart. Some time later, she spontaneously changed in a moment of stress ...
