Wow, how much dirt came out?

I thought this was bad for a head? Bet it's nice and fresh now though!

I don't put the whole head underwater. Just the part where my real head goes in.

I figured so. From what I've heard the eyes are the most fragile part.

Yeah, that part stays dry.

I should probably wash my fursuit head, but I'm a bit scared that I will ruin it. XD

Well I don't put the whole head underwater. Just the part where my real head goes in. Because that is where most of the sweat from my face is. The rest of the face and muzzle is air brushed so that stays dry. I clean that by hand with a wash cloth.

Ah okay, that makes sense. :)

As for the feet, I use simple green all purpose cleaner and a wash cloth. That gets rid of the dirt under the footpaws and along the sides of it.

Hmmm, would have been funnier if you would wear the suit, but several conditions wouldn't be that healthy. I wonder if cold water with detergent also could get the suiter april fresh :P

I also washed my head a few times, but i didn't soak it that way, i dipped it in water with detergent for a minute or so and after some minutes i held it under the shower for a while to wash everything off, because detergents aren't good for the skin ;)
Also you don't have to be all over-carefull with the front if it comes to just water and cleaning. Actually full foam fursuit heads can take alot of "torture" before demaging ;)

Yeah it would have been funnier if I would have wore the suit. But I didn't want to damage it by stretching it and I would have hated to be laying in cold water like that.

how do you dry it?

I hang dry the body suit with a fan blowing on it and I let the head dip to the point where its damp and then I set the head on top of a fan blowing it dry from the inside out.

ok, my thought of using a blow dryer was close :P

D: Just be careful you don't cause the fursuit head to mold :( Moisture can get trapped inside the foam that COMPLETELY surrounds your head, and you can never completely dry it. Next thing you know the mold renders it useless ;.;

The head is completely dry. I know that moisture can make foam mold. After I let it drip to where it's almost dry I set it on top of a fan for over 48 hours.

I just hope that's thurough enough. I adore your suit and would HATE to hear if it molded out :3

What were you eyes made out of? Were they buckrum? I've ready you need to remove them if they are buckrum... Were you able to submerge it just to the eye part and not worry about taking them out?

Forgive me, but I'm not sure what you are trying to ask me there. The eyes are make out of buckram and plastic yes.

From all the times I washed my suit. And that's after every furcon and every furmeet. I never had to remove the eyes.

And no, the eyes didn't go underwater at all. They stayed dry the whole time I washed the suit.
