Bwahahahaha! This is why I shouldn't be allowed to have a sketchbook and a slowly dying micron pen when being forced to deal with relatives.
So, here you have a Wielder ala Christian from Moulin Rouge looking adorably butch. Fuck drawin' what is essentially me with a dog drawn around it as Satine. I dun do dresses, and I certainly don't do dying of consumption. It's kinda done in a slightly chibi-ish style...crazy ass pointy lines...eh, I dunno, but it was cute, so I slapped color on it. In fact, gonna do a little series of these things. Might alter it a bit and upload it to scraps so that I can use it as a profile image or somefink.
Now won't somebody go step in there and be Satine for the poor penniless artist so that she doesn't look completely goofy?

Such a good movie. Sad ending though. Except when I first watched it, my friends spoiled the ending for me.
Ahaha, at one point I did want to make my sona cosplay as Satine. Never got around to it. So many cosplay ideas put aside. XP

It is a damn good movie, and I usually don't like musicals.
Lol, one of my friends told me not to spoil the ending of Titanic when it first came out...yeah...I was like 'well, hate to disappoint you, but the boat sinks'. I think that's the only time I was ever ruined the end of a movie for someone...and really...how could I have ruined that?

I like some musicals. Usually has to be something interesting about them for me to like them. Good soundtracks are fantastic after all. I always listen to The Pitch from Moulin Rouge.

Lol, I doubt I'd/Wielder'd make a good Satine, but I thank you for that sort of compliment. Not girlie enough. The last time I wore a dress was at my wedding, and that was about seven years ago. I do dress pants and such lol.

I was thoroughly impressed. It made me laugh out loud, shout out in anger, and even cry. A fantastic movie.
(No, seriously, when that one random girl makes the comment, "Why would she chose the penniless writer... Oops, I mean sitar player?" I stood up and shouted off a string of obscenities that I am usually loath to use in conversation. Good thing no one else was around.)

Thanks so much. I used to sketch in pen like this often, but rarely do these days. But, I'm thinking of doing a series like this since they are quick and fun, so you will probably see more akin to it.

I liked the original upload of this a lot, but I also really like this version with the patterned wallpaper texture in the background, too. I love the sketchy, quirky manga style approach you took, and even the clouds are simplified, but still add so much. Just really like the carefree, motion and flow of this piece. The movement in this one is really nice.
