You like people turned into statues and sinking into mud and other stuff. This isn't so surprising to me. But interests go in cycles. Manikins should come and go.

I used to work in a department store and I always felt bad when we would take them apart and put their arms, legs and heads in separate bins. They always looked so sad about it......

Yeah... that's where the whole manikin thing gets kind of disturbing. I also don't care for it when the wig falls off and they look like chemotherapy patients.

Or when you take their clothes off. I always felt like I was doing something wrong.

Or when you blowtorch their ni... never mind. I'm just getting silly.

I think it'd be fun to spend some time on display, as long as I was eventually reassembled and restored. *blushes deeply*

I'd have to be someone else. Nobody would be much inclined to buy an Eisenhower jacket or a pair of tighty-whities that I was modeling.

I'd assume the process involved a bit of reshaping, the only thing a mannequin of me would motivate people to buy is a plane ticket to the next state. ^_^;;

I've heard of people standing in for manikins in department stores as a stunt.

The Japanese in particular seem to like legs that are about as long as the rest of the body. In reality, our legs are usually a lot shorter, and the Japanese themselves sometimes see all upper body. Obviously, we need to do something about this. Maybe we can practice body modification, just as the Aztecs did. They bound their babies to a board until their heads got a nice, ski-slope shape. Maybe we could hang weights from babies' feet?
