I have a question about this wheel.

I see that the center refers to the light (lux) so I wondered if there is some sort of black magic or dark arts ? I'm just curious about that :3

In this case the lumen/lux is more analogous to 'the force' - it's just a name used to describe the flow and workings of magic, and potentially let me assign some pseudo-science to it. No particular good/bad inferences are intended, I just wanted something a bit more interesting than just "magic"

Aside from the obvious ways the stuff diagrammed could be used to generate death and fear, there's also nasty tricks available, for example dream invasion (air), mutation (earth/fire), and with some creative use of earth and water's healing combination, you might well get necromancy ^^

I'm getting the feeling this isn't your typical high-fantasy magic, where there's super good sparkly unic orn magic and evil undead ogre pirate zombie robot magic.

IE: it isn't the magic that is good or evil, it is the uses devised for it.

Precisely - it's an elemental magic, more along the lines of Chakra in Naruto, and is as unbiased as The Force :)

Never got into it... I spent about 12 hours wandering the wilderness looking for my horse, wasting time talking to NPCs who then turned out to have nothing to say, and trying to find a shop that would buy the random crap in my bag that I just wanted rid of! Then uninstalled the game :)

I guess that's why it was given game of the year.

Different people judge games on different criteria. Some saw it as an awesomely huge world to explore, others saw a massive empty space that, once the graphical shine had worn off, didn't have anything in it.

Thank you :) I find it helps when working out what some of my characters can and can't do - and why they have different skill sets vs their peers. Good when trying to find unique ways out of awkward situations ^^

Yes indeed. I tend to actually think this stuff up on the fly. I mean, I write down some profiles and such, but it mainly just floods in and I try to snag as much as possible. KWIM?

I do do that a lot, but then I have to backtrack and bring order and consistency to it xD Where I can, I'll plan things ahead so's I don't randomly assign traits to the wrong characters just because it would be cool at that moment ^^;

I avoid doing that too. But for some reason I don't have the mix up issue. I have the 'never finish what I start and always getting caught up in a new project' issue.

I'm also trying to be a writer. I actually came up with a pretty interesting story. Well, a couple.
