Soldier's Head, in Profile
A random character drawing I decided to do. just a line drawing with hints of value to define under the eye; it didn't look quite right to me without it. No reference used.
Another issue, I think that his lower skull/mandible are a tidbit too far in front of his brow... But it's better than being even, because a NORMAL human brow is farther back than the lower part. Upper lip typical extends over the lower.
His head does kind of look misshapen, I think mostly because I probably should have had the 'top' of the helmet not be straight up, but slightly back and at an angle. The coif also interferes a bit there. Oh well. Overall it's a success, definitely considering the lack of a reference.
Now... I think I'll try to fix up a few of those. Maybe try lining... Perhaps a digital or real color. I don't know.
Any suggestions, comments, critiques? Please do.
Graphite on Cardstock
Considering offering opportunities for cheap or free profiles of furry characters' heads. 'cause that's why I can do decently for now.
