"Blended Venti Peppermint Mocha?" called the barista, looking around?
"Ah, thanks!" Apple said, smiling at the fox, slipping her a dollar. He turned around, sipping on the straw and found a spot to sit down. He pulled out his laptop and opened it up, typing in the password when he heard a voice behind him.
"Nice desktop." Looking up, Apple saw a young lion standing over him from behind the bench. Looking back he noticed the background of his desktop was of grey wolf bent over bed, looking back at another wolf about to pound his ass.
"Oh, um..." Apple murmered, blushing, trying to open up something to cover it up.
The lion jumped over the back of the bench, plopping down next to the rabbit. "Nice hole" he said, picking up Apple's ear, looking through the pink ring. "So what's your name? I'm Nadir."
Staring at the lion, who was looking him up and down inquisitively, he said "I'm Apple..." trailing off as Nadir was now picking the jackalopes paw up and letting it fall back onto the keyboard. "Um... what, uh... what's up?"
"Not much, bored, whatcha drinking?"
"Oh, a blended peppermint mocha, from-" but he was cut off when Nadir leaned forward and took a drink from the cup. "And you can now have the rest of that..." Apple looked back at his laptop and opened up the internet browser, when he felt Nadir blowing in his ear. Turning his head slowly to the right, he saw Nadir smiling.
"...Hiiii" Nadir said slowly, giggling.
Apple gave him a look of confusion, thinking 'God, this guys like a teenager'. "How old are you, Na...dir?"
"222. You?" he replied without batting an eye.
"You're... 222?"
Nadir playfully counted on his paws "219... 220... 221... Yes, I'm 222. And you are?"
"Uh... 21. How do you expect me to believe you're 222? I mean, that's quite the long life. " Apple looked at his face, seeing what looked like a regular boy in his late teen, early twenties.
He replied, "Well, it's kind of a long story. See, there was these poachers and this lady and, well let's just say it doesn't matter, kay?"
"Mmmm...kay?" the jackalope said, watching the light brown lion sucking on the straw of the drink he had conned away from Apple.
"So, wanna go get some food or something?"
Apple looked at Nadir. "What? I don't even know you?"
"Sure you do, my name is Nadir, I like this drink thing you got, and we've been talking for... 3 minutes now."
Apple sighed "Yeah, okay, I know you, but, I mean, like, I don't 'know you' know you. What makes you think we should go get something to eat... together?"
"Well, 'cuz I'm hungry... I want some food."
"Ooookay, then go get some, I'm busy." Apple looked back at his laptop, right before Nadir reached over and grabbed it, beginning to type. "Hey, what the hell!?"
Handing it back to Apple, the lion stood up and walked away, purposely, Apple was sure, swinging his hips more than they naturally would. Looking down, Apple saw that Nadir had opened his facebook page and added himself as a friend. 'Wonderful' Apple thought.
