These days I'm a bit dead. The weather is killing me. I don't want to do anything and I can't think about nothing good to draw, but I'm a bit masochist, so yesterday I decided to copy a photo from a car magazine with watercolours. I wanted to change a bit, so I tried to paint instead of colour a well defined drawing. Paint is a pain for me :1
The car is a DKW Belcar. Ah, and I replaced the bald guy of the photo for a cheetah.
Any advice to improve my paintings?
Pintar me cuesta horrores :1

I have to say, you do really well on a medium that you yourself find a pain to draw on. Nice work!
For some constructive criticism, I guess you have a good understanding of layers and shading using watercolors. What you may have done intentionally was making the car very detailed compared to the background. At least i find that is very good for drawing the attention of the audience to the focal point of the piece.
At the same time I guess the plain background could be distracting as well. It isn't as well polished like the car so the painting may seem unbalanced or give the feeling that the work is not finished.
In terms of technique, you have that sort of light touch which I have too. Watercolor is a very unique medium from other painting arts in that you can create a much larger range of effects with contrast. For your painting do you notice how light the colors are? You could actually greatly enhance this painting just by adding more paint to the canvas. You can keep the objects where light is shining bright the most or where the reflective surface is very polished.
This is just a minor adjustment. There are other techniques like using color washes/layers, making finer details, all of which contribute to your own personal style.
But anyway sorry for rambling. Hope that helps! (you did ask for improvements so expect long-winded answers from me ^^;)
