That's an awesome tattoo, not to mention an extremely positive one too. I'm pretty much the same way, as I've never been big on drugs. I've only been high a couple of times in my life (and those were special occasions), and I just don't see why people want to do that everyday, but I don't think ill of those that do, it's just not for me. :3
I wouldn't get a tat for it, but I'm pretty proud that I went through that phase and came out of it relatively unscathed. I believe everyone needs to be exposed to every life experience (even if they don't participate), because like you said, it makes people stronger.
