Just like Mistress Diabolica has her Dastardly (or Taursis) to run the day to day routine of her lab, so too does Dr. York employ someone for the same operations. An unusual mix of cockroach and dragon, Roger is the heart of Dr. York's lab, keeping everything running at peak efficiency so the good doctor can focus on her numerous tests of Dragon Lady or helping Gammorah Bay's heroes with whatever crisis they may face. One crisis neither they or Placid will have to face is a mess or lack of supplies. Roger is meticulous, fastidious, concientious and tireless in his efforts to ensure that the lab is well stocked and clean. He never complains (or says a whole lot for that matter) when the heroes make a mess of the lab and never fusses when they take little notice of his efforts.
One area he does hear a great deal about though are his culinary talents. Roger handles all the cooking done in the lab and since it's become hero central, he's taken to feeding all who come to visit Dr. York. Again, Roger never complains about the influx of company, instead relishing the opportunity to fix for so many as well as the variety of requests, everything from a simple sandwich to complex gourmet meals and he adores baking pastries, cookies and cakes. It's been said that Roger should open his own restaurant and indeed that is a dream of Roger's to be able to serve to all of Gammorah Bay as he does its heroes.
As for where Roger came from or just how he came to work for Dr. York, just about nothing is known. It's a running joke among the younger generation of heroes in training that he's a former student of Dr. York's changed by one of her experiments and if they aren't careful they'll end up like Roger. It's not a subject the other heroes really talk about especially over one of Roger's wonderfully prepared meals. Instead, they whisper about what sort of relationship he and Dr. York have as it seems the two are very familiar with one another and the speculation runs wild on just how deeply and often that familiarity runs.

very interesting character, and a very intriguing choice that he's half cockroach. That would make him very good at being clean, despite the stereotype. And as for him wanting to be a restaurant owner, adds a wonderful depth to the character, heck, he could probably even help out with some medical experiments:)
one of the more exotic beings I've seen created, and you did him well, especially the wings, fore legs, and mouthparts. bravo!
Great idea for a character - plenty of arms to deal with all the things that need taking care of around a busy laboratory, and lots of Ratatouille-esque potential in a cockroach running a restaurant! (I guess the ability to survive almost anything would serve him well as well, given the sorts of lives superheroes lead!)
Nicely done!

Neat! Although, as the description went on, I assumed that it was going to go like.. "he was great with cleaning everything up, etc, but he was a terrible cook! He loved doing it though, so no one really had the heart to tell him." Or something like that.
It's all the more ironic to hear he's great at it though. I have no issues with a roach serving me dinner. The problems arise if you have smaller creatures crawling around IN food. Since he's so big, all aversion due to that concept should vanish.
