I can't believe I've never posted this photo here. This is Manasha, my first and dearest feline companion. A double pawed Angora. Look at the size of his front paws! My mother had bought him from the notorious Dr. Pet Center, in the local mall, for a friend. As a kitten, he developed a sickness that the veterinarian said would most likely kill him, so my mom took him back from the friend, who couldn't afford the treatment. The vet gave him about one month. 18 years later he died of simple old age. Manasha's name comes from the Jewish word for "Beast". And THAT he was. A little terror of a kitten. He'd steal food right out of the dog's bowl, WHILE THE DOG WAS EATING! This cat got into EVERYTHING. He was unstoppable. As he grew older, he mellowed out considerably. He couldn't meow, due to his sickness, but he could purr like a chainsaw. Manasha hung out with me all the time. Wherever I was, so was he. He was the BEST cat I ever had and he gave me a solid 18 years of friendship. I loved him dearly and still love him. All those happy moments come back when I look at this photo of him chilling out on my bed as I listen to records.
I will always love you little guy.
