Now here's something I hope you really enjoy! This is the title screen music to Astral, commissioned by 
calvinwolf It's the first thing you'll hear when you turn on the game.
More importantly, this is a live performance. Whereas the rest of the tracks in the soundtrack are synthesized, I wrote this, got myself a flautist and a violinist along with me on the piano, and recorded it. It took lots of work to get it all together despite only being written for three instruments, but it was fun anyway. Notice the main theme in there too. Cheers ^^

Weird, but wow! I wondered about the tuning of the violin at points too, but I figure it's probably intentional, part of the "astral" feel. Piano is not a Garriton quality instrument, may need a little tuning too (that's the trouble, listening to all the synthesized stuff!). I really can't pick out the flute either, must be mainly supporting the higher piano notes I'd guess? But overall, very beautiful. I'm going to have to get a copy of this game when it's done, just to see how the music is used.
The slight out of tune of the violin definitely gives it an interesting feel. The piano could be better... It's an upright at my dorm. The flute plays in unison with the violin, and it's easier to hear at a couple parts. Overall I really like the feel of it. Perhaps someday some professionals will do it again with a bit better quality. Glad you liked it ^^
