Eh, decided to do another Ryo pic with his new attire. It's rare to say I like the coloring in the picture, when I say the picture, I mean the cloak, everything else that's colored is eh, but I like how the cloak turned out.

Ryo comes from an ancient tribe, centuries before Sonic's time. He wasn't always a moody guy. As a young boy around 13, Ryo loved to explore any land his tribe traveled in, being daring to even go beyond what he was told not to pass along with his little sister who was just as playful and adventurous and was way more energetic. Ryo was a very open and helpful young hedgehog, hunting, scouting, anything to help his kin. The thing that he could never help out with was with the bullies around his age and older. Ryo's sister was always picked on by these kids and teens since she was little and Ryo knew he couldn't help her then. Whenever Ryo stood up to them, they ganged up on him and beat him down infront of his sister. The bullies were able to get away with it since their ring leader was the Tribes chiefs son, so he was spoiled and got away with everything he did. With each injustice, Ryo's anger grew and grew along with his sorrow of the treatment he and his little sister were getting which brought his family down as well. Seeing that Ryo's anger building inside of him, his parents feared of what was inside of him and didn't want to admit that their son had the spirit of Rage inside of him.
One day the tribe settled in a forest which meant exploring time for Ryo and his sister. They came across a waterfall that lead into a river. Seeing that there was nothing else to explore, they decided to turn back but were cut off by the group that tormented them since they were little. While three of them held Ryo, their leader tormented his sister even started physically harming her, knowing that Ryo would get even angrier if more harm came to her. He told Ryo that he knew that he had Rage deep inside of him, Ryo not knwoing what he was talking about. Wanting to see this spirit, the teen topped his actions off by pushing Ryo's sister down the waterfall, hitting the bottom of the large fall and being pushed away by the strong rapids. Seeing this is what pushed Ryo over the edge. His quills and fur spiked up, his teeth became sharp, fingers became claw like and his eyes changed. Feeling the power that came from Ryo the teen who pushed his sister ran, leaving his thugs to face their end by the hands of the possessed Ryo. The spirit faded after the murders were done, Ryo was shaken at the scene seeing his hands had their blood on them, even around his mouth thinking that he even ate some parts of their flesh, seeing memories that weren't his, but he ignored it and went to try and find his sister, hoping to find her down the river. After hours of searching, Ryo found her but she was no longer in the world of the living, she died once she hit the bottom of the waterfall, breaking her neck in the fall. The young hedgehog brought her body back to the tribe trying to explain what happened, but his tormentor got back and told a lie, saying that Ryo was the one that killed his friends and pushed his sister down the waterfall. Ryo couldn't find anything for his defense from blood being all over his person.
One week later when the tribe took went back to the main city they live in when they're not traveling, the tribes elders and it's leader went to decide on what to do with Ryo, imprisoning him, chaining him up. As they were discussing his fate, Ryo's parents knew that he didn't kill his sister but knew he killed the others and explained to him why it happened. Ryo learned that his family had a curse placed on them by the first elder of their tribe hundreds of years ago for betraying the tribe for money. They were able to return a few years later but with little rights. The curse was actually a summoned spirit of rage. Every fourth generation, the spirit of Rage inhabits itself inside it's new vessel until the possessed victim continues the bloodline. They also informed him that anytime Ryo suffers great anger or sorrow, Rage will take over and it even can take control at random moments if its will was stronger than Ryo's. Unfourtunately for Ryo, he was the lucky soul to be the vessel. After that explaination the elders decided to exile Ryo for his actions and since they knew he had Rage inside of him it was for the safety of the tribe. After saying goodbye, Ryo left to wander the Earth alone, never taking his shackles and chains from his wrists and ankles, symbolizing himself as a prisoner within his life.
Over the years, Rage did take control on several occausions, which made Ryo make up his mind not to be around people. Ryo also made it his decision that he would never start a family, not wanting this curse to continue and torture anymore people. At the age of 26, Ryo collecte the seven chaos emeralds and used them to imprison himself in the Earth. Once the earth was cracked apart from Dark Gaia once Eggman released him, Ryo who was then possessed by Rage too was released from his prison. Rage went on a rampage, killing small towns before the Earth was put bak together and Ryo taking control again. Seeing that others have been using the emeralds for good, Ryo chose to stay on the surface, to explore this new world. Several days later Rage had taken control again but this time, the one he attacked fought back. One attack got him in the right eye, blinding it and knocking him unconcious. The blow was strong enough to wipe the memory of the fight from both personalities. Ryo wears an eyepatch to cover the eye and picked up a cloak from a traveling merchant. Ryo decided to head back home only to find that the city he was born in was completely gone, only to see Station Square in its place. Trying to find answers, Ryo learned that his tribe has gone extinct. Ryo made it his goal to atone for every murder Rage has done, not just when he is possessed but for the ones who suffered the fate before him.
