Kamen Rider isn't the only thing I'm hopelessly obsessed with, oh no.
Back in last year, I suffered a massive, very serious case of Staph Infection in my leg. Well, that pretty much shot my Winter Term in college to hell with frequent trips to the doctors and a searing inability to walk without profuse profanity and a quick need to sit right back down so I stop crying. During my inability to walk, in order to pass the time, I started watching episodes of Power Rangers (specifically and, possibly obviously, the RPM series). Power Rangers got me interested in Super Sentai, and the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger crossover with Kamen Rider Decade got my interested in the Kamen Rider series.
Funny how a crippling infection does that.
Anyway, Harrison is more taking a page from Engine Sentai Go-Onger than it's American adaptation as Power Rangers RPM for the sole reason that I like Hiroto (Go-On Gold) more than I like Gem (Ranger Operator Series Gold). No offense to the actor, I just thought Hiroto was more badass.

Believe me when I say that Kamen Rider, as a series, is infinitely better than Haim Saban's first attempt at adapting it to American audiences as Masked Rider.
Kamen Rider Dragon Knight (an unrelated adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki) is a much better series, if you're looking for something that doesn't require subtitles.

Tokusatsu is easily my favorite genre right now, and considering how much of a fan I am of Power Rangers, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider, it's a favorite subject of mine to request commissions of. I don't have many of them in my gallery now, but I have ordered commissions on the subject before, and hopefully they'll come in sooner or later.
One of the things you always gotta remember is that Power Rangers and Super Sentai are kids shows (for my own, honest reason I don't consider Kamen Rider a "kid's show", but that's a talk for another day. ^ ^;; )
Yeah, they can get really silly, but it's done specifically to appeal to a certain demographic of people. I just happen to be within a periphery demographic of people that still enjoy it, even though I'm not the target audience.

It wasn't a movie, but many people will agree with you that Forever Red had a LOT of problems with it (honestly, blame Disney and their half-assed treatment of the series).
The show is definitely good and it did get better, I personally recommend RPM, if you wanna try and get back into it, but failing that, Super Sentai is always really fun.

Well the one where the reds gathered on the moon was one of the better shows. Probably because it had Tommy in it. He was more serious about the roles and wasn't pushed around like the other five. Also he was always the strongest ranger, Green to gold then white. Or white to gold, I don't remember that much.
