If it ain’t baroque don’t fix it.
I thought y'all might like to see, this is what I draw when I'm not drawing porn. I don't post it here because most of it ain't really furry art, I just put a furry in this one so I could post it. Yes, this is a picture of modern times, just a little alternate reality of mine where people drive old cars and wear waistcoats, and also where a whole bunch of annoying things I don't like were never invented. For those of you unfamiliar with architecture, this is probably what your city looked like before all those condominums and stripmalls were built. There might be a few old buildings left, just go downtown and look up. The old ones are the ones with all the knobbly curly bits on.
Man, no one ever looks up.

Are you into steam-punk? I think that's what its called. Could be wrong.
An modern age yet everything is predominately based on old technology. Steam powered star ships. Rotoary mobile phones.
Without a solid city preservation committee these buildings will soon disapear under the pressure of redevelopment. Its a shame. A damn shame.

Wow! I love the detail you put on those Corinthian-esque capitols. The little leaf friezes are nice too.
There probably are a lot more buildings that look like that than one realizes. Lots of highly professional buildings in almost any major city, especially city hall, use the neo-Baroque style, even ones that might be less than a decade old.

I ain't seen 'em in this city. The new buildings have but the mere vestiges of style, nothing like the terra-cotta Beaux-Arts towers of Old Seattle. I say, if'in you're gonna go modern go all the way, like the new Tower of Sam on 1st and Union. Shiny and glassy.
