A character from a brand new DnD campaign, beginning tonight!
He's a half-wolf, half-orc alchemist about to begin the Carrion Crown adventure path in the Pathfinder rpg system.
Artwork by the tremendously-awesome phenomenon,

Additional Background for Hildebear:
Though burly as most of his orc-blooded mutt kin, Hildebear shows a surprising amount of cleverness that most of his breed do not, displaying a keen intellect and insight even greater than the average full-blooded human.
Despite these faculties, the hybrid was not recognized for his psyche until well into his adult life. For many years he took odd jobs wherever he could get work, bodyguarding, transport, heavy lifting, day labor, et cetera. The stigma against porcine kind gave him trouble keeping a steady job or even staying in one place for long. That is, until he came under the employ of Professor Lorrimor. Through routine grunt work, the Professor eventually discovered Hildebear's latent ability, and, as an idle curiosity, tested the wolf-boar to see if he possessed any magical aptitude. While he did show surprising ability to call upon and and identify arcane forces, he could not accurately shape them into conventional spells. Lorrimor soon discovered that the hybrids oddly acute sense of smell provided a tremendous boon to the identification of herbs and other components used to craft alchemical elixirs.
In a stroke of genius, the professor realized that Hildebear might make a potent alchemist, and swiftly drew up recommendations to a number of the alchemical academies populating the large cities of learning throughout Ustalav. And thus, Hildebear was on his way, taking his meager savings and scraping to get by through academy life.
In the course of his studies, he met a number of other half-orcs that had taken to the trade, but among them he was the only one that did not hide his orcish heritage, baffling many of his peers; the ones that would consider him a peer in the first place, given his lineage. He eventually became smitten with a slightly-older canid female, sharing a long, sickeningly-sweet romance with her. She was disowned by her family after their marriage, which unfortunately took its toll when a wasting disease began to take her a few short years later. The coins from her family coffer would likely have saved her life, had that bridge not been burned. She left Hildebear with a young son, who appears to be a full-blooded Canid.
After raising the boy for a number of years and continuing his alchemical studies, Hildebear was alerted to the passing of his once-employer, Professor Lorrimor. Leaving his son on his own for the first time, Hildebear sets out to settle the Professor's affairs, and whatever that might entail.
