...Zig. Yes.. The Much fabled Holy Grail of Suits was....

Ok, back up a sec, 'cause this story needs to be told.

At the closing cerimony, I commented to  verm that there were SO many suits in attendance, I was hoping to get a few last-minute pictures in. He told me if I wanted that, I should make like a real photog and RUSH over when things let out. I figured, I'd swing over and ask a few, quietly, if I could get thier picture after the close. One suiter (KC the Orca) said "Sure!"... then I made my way to Zig and her handler to ask.

Her handler said she'd been in costume for a long time (12 hrs, I think?) and that she might not be up for it. He asked and Zig started to lean in to hear better. I told her, "I didn't realize you were in for that long. Its ok. There will be other times...." But she told me, "Well, we could just do it now." I was floored. Again, I said, "No, really... If you've been in there 12 hrs, better that you get free soon and not get overheated."

"No. It's ok. Let's just go now and do it."

I am still totally STUNNED that she was willing to do that for me - an otherwise nameless face in the crowd. Kinda reminded me of a famous NY Yankees' player quote regarding why he played as much as he did.... basically his answer was that somewhere, out in the stands, is someone's VERY FIRST time at the ball park, seeing him play... Maybe there to see him play specifically. Its for THAT person he gives it his all.

And, to that end and in the very same vein, I have to give ZigZag my HIGHEST praise - Not for being gracious, 'cause there was that, no question. But for being so willing to go Just a little bit further than she needed to, even though I told her I was more concerned for her well being than the photo op.

Oddly enough, Verm was not at all surprised - claiming, "Yup... that's JUST like Zig; Generous to a fault."

Zig? If you're reading this one... What more can I say? I am Deeply humbled by your generosity.
