This is part of my NaNoWriMo project - check out the explanation on my journal! :)
2009 note: Insects! Musk-phermones! Transformation! Mind control! All in SPECTACULAR SOMAVISION, in full color and advanced supra-proto-Varnasound as terrifying invaders descend from the sky!
Hear! the buzzing of their wings,
See! their gleaming compound eyes,
Smell! the deadly phermones that turn Earthlings against one another,
Feel! the overwhelming power of plaintext that has to communicate all of this without actually reaching your ears, nose, or image-processing centers. Whoops.
So hey look, bug aliens. Also this turned into Mimic (1997) fanfiction at some point. I might have to come back to this. Turned out kinda crap. Oh well.
The Inner Editor is watching bugs with a magnifying glass making her eye huge.
2011 note: Oh my god this was terrible. I wanted to go further with it - there was an artist I liked at the time who did a lot of insect-based work and I thought "hey let's see if I can make that work." I couldn't. I might be able to now, but ugh. This is one of the ones that, I guess, proves that my willingness to write even when I suck is genuine.
