As the 'pitters grew I had to separate them to avoid crowding and to prevent any spread of diseases if they appeared. I fashioned a little gated community of cecropia larvae on my coffee table in small ziplock food containers.

There are between 4 and 8 c'latapitters per unit. I cut out the tops and put screen in so they would stay fresh since the caterpillars like humid air. There are moist paper towels in the bottom to maintain moisture and catch the 'pitter poo from above. The screen keeps the condo from staying *too* humid and getting moldy.

Yes I am crazy to go through all this trouble, but I didn't plan on being a father to caterpillars, it just kinda happened. Fortunately my mate helps me with the work!
