I like you to realize.

Drina is one woman who takes a lot of pride in being independent,self sufficient and holding her own against the odds.Drina(If she was human, would be a black woman). She is quite sassy, but level headed, and has good common sense. Professional and serious about her work and occupation.

Thus her reason for at first not being receptive to Gila Monster. She will at times be stubborn. Especially when she feels she's in the right. But she can has in this case prejudged somebody.

After reading this story over again. I liked what you did. Not making it the typical "Knight in shining armor and
saving the hapless/helpless damsel" type of story.

General Chaos needs to bone up on his chemistry. Gas masks are not an effective defense against mustard gas; it's a powerful carcinogen that seeps through most common fabrics and causes serious chemical burns on contact with the skin. Even if it doesn't kill the victim outright, it can cause health problems for life. It's nightmarish stuff, and WWI soldiers lived in fear of it and its cousins.

Props to Gila for being able to swallow THAT with no ill effects.

That's one of his special powers, the ability to consume ANY poisonous/dangerous gas without harm. After all, Gila is poisonous himself, though he's never used his poisonous bite on anyone (so far).
