tails230 commissioned me to draw his character Nevah the eevee beign attacked by some kind of enchanted rope that hypnotizes you when you touch it.
this was actually really fun to do, even if they couldn't afford shading or a background. meh, that's not important. and they paid in advance so i can jsut upload it now.
The light outline on the rope was a happy accident i worked into the image. when i made the glow i put it ontop of the outline (and so, ontop of everything but the white fade) and i selected the inside of the rope and pasted it into a layer mask but since the thick outline is on another layer and the colour lkayer is a pencil outline it made most of the outline stil laffected by the glow. and or some reason i thought it looked really good. so i coloured it the lighter green colour used in the glow. and then i lightened it more because it looked like i was doing a soft outline on most of the rope and then it was suddenly green around the oen on her neck, which already looks too much like it's just pasted ontop of her as it is.

Also origonally the ears looekd different, and looked morel iek my naku style. but my GF said it doesnt look much like an eevee which i agreed with, but i never expected ti to actually look like an eevee since the origonal character doesn't much. also the mane wasn't origonally in there, i jsut realised when drawing it i could add it in around the rope sincei had room so i did.
but i changed the ears anyway AFTER i'd already finished the image XD
it took a lot more work than i thought it would. but im glad i did, cus now it ACTUALLY does look like an eevee.

this whole mind-control-upon-touch by a rope thing is similar to soem creatures i've made up in my little naku world that are like sea creatures with large tentacles that mesmarize you when they wrap around you. i'm writing liek a huge text file on this stuff which i might upload somewhen.

one fun fact- my sister's nickname is Eevee, cus her first two initials are E.V
eevee is oneo f my favourite pokemon (and vaporeon and umbreon moreso), but i like eevee cus it can evolve so many ways and it seems like the youngest brother of this huge family XD
also eevee would make a MUCH better mascot for Pokémon than pikachu. a much better one. since it can evolve into something of every element now. pretty much. and it's cute.
