Did this mostly for a competition held by Don't Hug Cacti (seriously, don't, spiky things hurt...)
Anyhow, as I said
were holding a little "up for grabs" for a Paw Pillow (WANT! D:) If you've got an idea go throw it in quick before the contest closes!

Yes I know this has probably been done a couple of times before, but I wanted to try it too. Trying to portray that although we may be ourselves as we see ourselves, sometimes our reflection and who we show ourselves to be to others can be vastly different from how we notice that we act.
On a more photo related note, I had REAL trouble with this for some reason. I've done a mirror reflection being different than you standing there thing before (I think it may even be in my gallery here) but for some reason this one gave me all hell. The biggest flaw that I couldn't get around with this was my hand/paw.... I wanted the mirror to have a paw and for my hand to go over it... but I could not or the life of me figure out how to do it! D: So in the end after about half hour+ of messing about with it I decided I would have to settle with a human hand on both sides of the mirror :( Ah well.

I still don't understand how I would have done it with the paw in the mirror xD I've done a year at college on a photography course which, like your class, involved photoshop use, but I've mostly taught myself what I want to know and used the internet as a guide x3
I put a small sticker on the mirror to indicate where I should place my middle finger in relation to positioning of my hand, but I don't get how I can get the reflection paw and the human hand covering it >.< ... because I'll have the furry paw against the mirror which is bigger :S Just covering the paw version with the hand didn't look right >.<

Nice :) to be honest I wouldn't worry so much about the hand/paw thing because I didn't notice that until I read the description because the idea of the image it's self was enough to distract me away from noticing that. I can't work out how you would do that either though. Good luck hope you win.

If I won I think it would be somewhat a miracle :P having gone through some of the other competition entries I feel there are a number of others that match the contest description far more than my own :P

Meh, even so, I'm still annoyed I hadn't thought of it >.< It seems so simple now I know >.<
Usually if I want a photo to come out right a spend a fair time photoshopping around with it until I get the result I want. :P
Though agreed, if I have a number of photos I've taken maybe all of the same subject, the editing can get a bit monotonous, even if I'm trying different techniques or ideas for each one :S
