Finally, after having requested this two years ago, I finally got around to making :iconnzredbaron's: train giant that he named Speed Queen. She is the combined form of 5 trains.
Next to Speed Queen is my first stage dragon giant, Jia. She hasn't been drawn since 2006. After studying her original pic, I decided that she need some updating. I gotta say that I'm pleased with the result. Though, I may change the wings a bit. Originally, the wings were going to be longer and more fancily drawn but the canvas would have to be huge to accommodate them.
Also in the pic, is Swanya. I chose her to be there as a size reference. She is 10ft tall and that makes the two giants more than 30ft. Though, I do believe that the dragons and their combined form should be bigger.

Point of interest: there WAS a train combiner from the toyline where the Constructicons originated. It was only released as a Transformer in Japan, where it was known as Raiden. There were two other train combiners released later on in western markets, both of which were known as Rail Racer in English markets.

It took about almost two years to get to that point. It's why I hardly to requests anymore. I had like 24 requests around the time I did the first train character. Sadly, they never got to done.

First, Jia is definitely WAAAAY better than when I first did her. Still, the wings aren't the way I wanted them.
As for Speed Queen, those aren't barber poles. They're track crossing guards. The commissioner suggested that the guards be mounted on the arms and legs but I thought of Voltron-type wings. But... I then decided to have them mounted on the back of her arms. I had thought there was some character on a show that had arm mounted wings. It too awhile but then it hit me. It was Cyclonus from Transformers G2. I did think of shortening them but he seemed to like it.
