PUPPYIES!!!!!!! ok... PUPPY!!!!

yes i'm a cat person but i still love dogs and heck i'm a vet tech grad :P

My only problem with him is that he's half Dachshund, half Chihuahua. I love Dachshunds, I hate Chihuahuas.

ugh... thats half rat dog and weaner... why!!! (agreed not a big fan of chihuahua..)
At least its not a Chihuahua mixed with a Jack Russel... horrible mix of a dog!(ok cute... but sooooooo EVIL!) well your still going to love him so no escaping it :P

I had to give him to my sister in the Smokey Mountains because I had another dog who would not get along with Amadeus. She is a large yellow lab Bre.

ya....sometimes big dogs as such comparing to the small dogs.... heck i made sure my dog gets along with my cats. if another cat came in she would be indifferent. but ya... its sad when that happens :(

It was because the people who gave Amadeus to us weened him to early and he kept trying to nurse on Bre.

yep.... people... are sometimes idiots... they take up to 8 weeks and they can get off the milk around... 6? and switch to food :3(but for smaller dogs... i'm not too knowledge about it but cats and big dogs are the same so i'm guessing :3)

It's not their fault though. A lot of the more densely populated areas around here have dog limits on households to keep the noise down. The family just had too many dogs and needed to get rid of a few.

aww... still.. weird.. they let them stay usually for them to fully grow up but ya.... at least Amadeus has a home now :3

Too bad his Chihuahua genes kicked in and his ears stand up now. I'll miss his floppy ears.

He's like 6 or 7 now. No more floppy ears and he's a big little dog thanks to chihuahua legs and dachshund body.

Well, with my experience, chihuahuas can be VERY good dogs.

They're just typically speaking, like to bark a lot. Sometimes, they just need loving homes, to help them become more easy-going, and hopefully, for some that AREN'T very friendly, become at least a LITTLE bit friendlier.

Also, speaking of chihuahuas, did you know that in the state of Florida, that among dog breeds, chihuahuas are the #1 most NEGLECTED type of dog?

ESPECIALLY when they can be friendly, too!

He lives with my sister up in the smokey mountains. Pretty cool with everybody, but hates baths. I'm sure it's my fault he hates baths, because I let him play outside and he got a little dirty and I tried to wash him. Nearly drowned him by accident.

Living in the mountain, he tends to not see a whole of stuff happening so he'll bark on the rare occasion a car drives by.

While I named him "Amadeus", my sister was more into Elton John and called him "Rocket Man".

Sorry hear about that. I'm not a fan of Chihuahuas, but they deserve a good home.
