So, many of you may have been wondering what was occupying me so thoroughly in December-January. Well, the answer is, a lot of that convention work I just posted for FWA, and THESE! Namely, the interior illustrations for 
kyell Gold's fantastic and very emotional new novel, Green Fairy.

I've probably recommended this book a thousand times now, but I'm gonna do so again, because I recently went back and re-read some of my favorite portions, and it continues to be one of my favorite stories from him. Check it out!

Furries (real ones.) ((real ones as if they should been)) ARE masculine. I mean it's pretty difficult to tell their sex, untill you look at the...
..well, not counting the bewbs, but still... say from the back, it is difficult.

This is an extract from the summary of Green Fairy on sofawolf.com ---> Sol begins to dream that he is a cabaret dancer named Niki, offered a chance to escape his difficult life through romance.
I bolded 2 key words: 'Niki' and 'his' (referring to the same Niki).
Now, this is the last line in the description of this picture ---> Jean (the chamois there) receives his first dance from Niki, a very special dancer at the Moulin Rouge. . . .
By putting it all together, Niki, the dancer from this pic, is male and a fox.
Case closed

Being Kyell has stated he's in the process of finishing up the last of this books series I couldn't help but return to this pic. It's been a few years now but this story, well poor Nikolai's anyway, still breaks my heart! He was a kind soul that wanted nothing more than the most basic of things in life. To dance and be loved by someone. What he got was hardships, abuse, and death... Some times characters in stories grab hold to your heart; Niki's did, and has never let mine go.
