Finally done..... for now...
I went though and now all the unnamed characters are now named, and I have information on eye color, fur/hair color, Talent's if applicable and so forth all displayed with the characters.
I think this will be my last update to my family tree for a while. I need to get back to working on actually writing, I just got sidetracked. Though in planning the tree I now have some future stories planned out.
Feel free to leave any questions or comments.
Quick note there are 189 individuals in the tree!

All characters in the family tree, as well as the shape shifting species the Kien'toh are copyright me.
I wish to thank my roommate who put up with me bouncing ideas off of her.
I think that covers everyone, if you feel I left out anyone who deserves credit let me know.

I'll play around with some of the different settings in family tree maker to see if I can get the result your talking about, though the Family tree program is not really built to accommodate herms so I'm not sure if there is a way to drop the children down from the mother only.
As for history, it all depends on how much I could get them to tell me about themselves. Eventually several will have their own side story, however as of right now over half of these characters have not even been born yet, so some may have to wait a while before their story gets told!

the reason I suggested it was I saw a triad that two of them the cubs were under one (though both had been the mothers) and then the third had their (and the other two as the fathers) cubs listed. I can see how those programs can be a pain to link right (me mom uses it, not always fun ...)
I think you hit the nail on the head right there, each denmate/lifemate relationship ends up grouped together and the children are listed under that instead of by mother. The best work around I have so far is to have the Daughter of or Child of listed so that at least someone can figure out who was who's in the relationship.
*nods* yeah... I got a little carried away with the whole 'chakats like big families thing' LOL. soon I'm going to have to update it with more pictures.
Scary thing is I'm not done yet, I need to figure out some more ancestors, and mates and children for the grandkits and great grandkits!
