Mike Nes and his little sister, Paige, comfort each other. Whenever expectations are broken and events go terribly wrong, it's always nice to get a hug and be told everything will be okay.

They never had a father, so Mike had to step up to become the "father figure." Mike knew that she looked up to him and so he often had to protect her from slimeball boyfriends and try not to falter when times were tough.

As for the art itself, I've been trying a few things in GIMP. I chose a background color I would normally never use, and built up shades and tints with the Dodge/Burn tool, then chose very light colors and colored over the dodge/burns, creating a kinda groovy night-time effect. :3 I like this method, it works so much better than previous methods of shading and appears more natural. Also, it's my first time using a PNG, I hope it looks okay.
