Wanted to try something else in SAI and, I'm not as happy with it. It's a bit messy so I probably won't do it in this fasion again. Anyway, close up of the karnage pawz!

Eeeeeeeee... wow, okay the first pic was cool - didn't expect to see even more of his nice sole teasin' me. ^^; That's awesome. I can see how it's not quite your usual for shading and such, but hey - that just means you can try to do up the same in something your familiar with for the comparison. Or just keep drawing him. :D I'm sure no one will mind. :P
Oh, I usually use mostly photoshop, now mixing some SAI in, but I did most of this in SAI. It's not that I don't like SAI, just the way I painted this one in it, wasn't to my likeing. Basically I painted ontop of the dark sketch lines and the color from the lines bleeded in and all over and basically made more of a mess then anything else so the next time I do it, I won't do it that way is all :)
Ahhhhhhh alright :)
Paint tool sai can also help do clean lines and such too with the stabilizer adjusted :)
But I'm pretty sure you knew that already since you have been doing art since I was a young teen :3
Its good to experiment, I used to use photoshop but it didnt work out for me ^^;

Well there's lots of ways you can do it really. It depends if you create your shading through colour or just tone. For example, my pics always have a filled outline on the bottom, semi-transparent layers of near-black shading in the middle and a clean outline layer set to 'multiply' on top. Works quite well if you want a possible alternative.
