A very round hippo momma is feeling a bit self-conscious about her newly acquired outtie belly button. She slips off to the restroom to slip a band-aid over it to try and conceal it when someone else walks in. A little embarrassed, she looks up as sees Tessiha, who is also sporting an outtie along with a gravid belly. Tessiha is comfortable and confident though, enjoying her pregnant form. Perhaps the hippo would realize that pregnancy, no matter what shape it takes, or added little surprises it brings, is always beautiful, and she should be comfortable in her body.
(I did my best with the description, forgive me, for I'm no writer XD Just doing a little blip off of the description for the picture!)
Hope you like it,
raydobbs ! It's been sent off to Gecko for coloring :)

From what I understand of it - as the developing baby grows, the uterus grows, pushing the abdominal muscle groups away from each other, to the sides - away from the navel. The pressure of the growing womb leaves the navel no place to remain in, so it protrudes. Some women have extra room where the uterus can grow so it doesn't put so much pressure on the front of the abdomen, but some people are more prone to this herniation of the navel than others - hence some women develop it, some women's navels only protrude during the diress of childbirth, and some never do. If I remember correctly, that is.
