She did the base sketch, then I designed/added the rough clothing and some of the detail work on the clothes, such as symbols and the loincloth pattern. She then cleaned up the image in the inking process, modifying/finalizing the character and clothes as needed. We collaborated on this in person during my visit, the medium was traditional pencils and inks on actual paper.
Rika Windblade has been the name for several of my D&D characters in different campaigns, I also use the name and various permutations of it a lot for other female characters in a variety of games (IE Rishaka in FFXI and WoW).
For color reference, she's considered to have red hair (trending more towards pink-ish than orange-ish), earthy brown fur (usually), and while her skin is white, she would probably usually have a bit of a tan from her life of outdoor adventure (though in at least one incarnation she was a mage).
The marks on her face are fur, and they are hard to see but she wears tribal hair beads (bead strands are like unique trophies and/or coat of arms within her tribe/family, and are earned for various acts and deeds).
She typically falls into the agile fighter role, generally dual wielding (usually short swords), and sometimes wearing light to medium armor. More often than not she's a fighter with a few levels of rogue for backstabs, or something close as the game system allows. She also tends to be almost absurdly strong, especially for her size.
She has a fiery tempter, when something ignites her, but usually views combat as a chance for fun and thrills, risking herself for the challenge. She is loyal and caring towards those close to her, and will fight tooth and claw to defend them. Earning her trust can be tough, however, and unwanted advances even from those close to her will frequently be met with physical violence, often to great comedic effect (though she rarely holds a grudge over it).
She once ripped apart a giant crab (many times larger than herself) with her bare hands at the start of a single round of combat following her mighty battle cry of "FOOOOOOOOOD!" Although she appears unarmored here, this particular incarnation obtained a special armor during her travels made of (as I recall) Moon Ivy, which will actually suddenly burst forth and grow around her when needed. Normally she would wear armor hidden under her clothes or incorporated into her outfit any way, such as a chain shirt, or leather armor.
She generally prefers the company of females, particularly sexually, owing partly to customs within her tribe/clan/family (helps reduce unwanted pregnancy in their warrior women). She normally would not regard such trysts as a real relationship, however, and in fact considers herself straight. A male worth mating would probably be her life mate, and as such she is extremely picky. Any male worth even a passing consideration would need to best her in single combat, as well as possess suitable looks and personality.
Its hard to say for sure, but it would probably be accurate to say that Rika incorporates many aspects of and/or personifies my own feminine side to a large degree. Even if not, having roleplayed her and various characters archetyped off her so often has surely ingrained her solidly within my own psyche, giving her a permanent place within myself.
