I do live in Tasmania, when I was growing up I lived on a farm, there was a story about family of hippies (and I'm not name calling here) which allowed one of there children to play with a Thylacine. I don't know if this was true or not.
But I do remember that some people would spray pant there dogs to look like Tasmania Tiger for some strange reason.
