Paint Tool Sai: The Basics, Part 2: Basic Painting Tools (v2
I decided to do a do-over on this one because I didn't think I wrote it very well the first time. This one focuses more on what you actually need to know to get started, and it's got more examples of what the tools and settings do. And yes, I ignore some of them, because this is The Basics. If you want to know more about those, wait for the advanced class. :)
Anyway, I hope this is useful for someone, and I also hope it's better than the first version of this part.

First make sure you haven't just shrunk the tool window -- it has a scrollbar on the right, so scroll down and see if you can find your Blur tool. If that doesn't work ...
Make a new Watercolor tool and turn it into a new Blur tool. Do that by right-clicking on an empty tool button and selecting WaterCol. Then turn Blending, Dilution, and Smoothing Prs all the way up to 100%. Leave Density at 100% and Persistence at 80%. Then turn Keep Opacity off. Those are all the same settings that the Blur tool has. Then you can right-click your new tool, select Options, and change its name to Blur.
