Do you feel it may have been "revenge" for needing repairs out of box? I personally would feel so.

That would make no sense if you sent it in to get it repaired only to let the issues still persist. You'd turn a 'angry customer' into a even more angry customer. It would only go against you to do that in spite. Looks more like neglect.

Sadly, many people in the world and the furry fandom actually do things just like that.

If you want to attempt to save it, grab some sand paper and go to town. I think it is higher grade with be able to get it smoother once the marks are gone.
If not, I know of many makers that sell parts like noses and other things. I hope this can come to a close for you. I know how upsetting it can be to get something you just don't like due to different contributing factors.

No way, this cant have been my dog. he's penned up while I work and has never been in my workshop :/ he has MUCH larger teeth than this too (adult german shepherd teeth which would leave twice as large marks as seen here) + I checked the head over completely before boxing it up to send :(

I'll send you out a brand new nose with the tail if you'd like.

Is it possible that the resin wasn't cured all the way when you shipped it?

unless it was shipped with pins or needles, that was chewed on by a pet. I think you've been had.

It would be veeeery difficult to bunk up a resin-cast nose like that in shipping. No bubble wrap or anything? I would contact the maker with concerns. I can only imagine how disappointed you are over this. It could be fixed, though! Pep up, mate!

I would highly suggest filling out a review for  fursuitmakerreviews. I'm so sorry for all the crazy inconveniences you've been put through! I don't think that's at all professional on the maker's part. I do hope that all ends well for you!

forgot to mention, sometimes people sell resin cast noses here on FA and on DA, browse around, some of them are fairly cheap.

No problem, It really seems like whoever you got it from doesn't seem to care much about selling quality suits.

Please read the comments I posted before judging :/ I know it looks bad but the suit was NOT like this before I sent it. I certainly don't blame Senti at all, I'm actually really distraught that she's gone through this. Hopefully she'll be able to get some compensation through the insurance and I'll be sending her over another nose and doing what I can to help with whatever else.

you hadn't posted any before i wrote this. and I was going off what i knew at the time. I've looked through the comments since, I agree, a german shepherd couldn't have left those marks. there is a damaged eye, but that looks more like wear and tear to me due to shipping. I'm not sure what could have left those little scratches unless something came loose in the box.

Ah sorry, I didn't realise I hadn't commented by the time you had. I dont think anything could have come loose in the boxy (it was just the head) :(

Doesn't look like the head was built to last... if it can't even survive a cardboard box without getting really damaged what hope is there for it in terms of everyday use? Zero. And how did that eye even get damaged? I don't see any possible way of a simple box doing this :/

If she willing let her dog chew your news, that's just really low. I hope since everything is coming to light on your experience she'll wake up and smell and the coffee and that potential commissioners will be spared the same experience. -hugs you-

I didn't notice the typo till you mentioned it XD still angers me that some artists will let substandard quality works ship to customers without fixing it. It's why I rarely do many commissions these days, i know I probably won't get them done or I'll rush through them (life issues in the way)

I feel the same way. I hate it when something I do isn't up to the standards I set for myself, and I'll keep re-doing it until I feel comfortable giving it to a customer. I think anything less than that level of commitment isn't right.

I'm not familiar with it, but a buddy says it looks like a cat chewed on it. Small sharp teeth it looks like.

Can't have been my dog, if you read the other comments you'll see why, it would have been impossible for him to get to it and the puncture marks are a LOT smaller than the ones his teeth would have made (adult german shepherd teeth). I'm really upset this has happened but the head was not like this before I shipped it. I do a full check and would NEVER send out a head like this :/

Yeah I didn't know if you did or not. Thinking of small teeth Im thinking like Mouse/Rat too or something as well, but if the box wasn't opened. Not sure. Mine arrived without any issues or damages like that (there were holes in the box like it had been crushed a little), but the suit itself was fine, and I'm in the general same area of the world as Senti. She's over on the Island though while I'm on the lower mainland.

*nods* I'm really confused about how it could happen too if the box hasn't been opened. I'm going to do everything I can to help her out with it though, although I don't believe it was my fault I really hate to see customers unhappy and would like to think I do everything in my power to rectify situations (for instance I wasn't able to get a suit done by this past AC so am compensating the customer $470 and giving him free shipping)

and the damage to the nose...looks like someone poked it with something sharp or the creator did this on perpose but after reading her comments...i feel like she's faking it...but then again...

They're all in the same direction, looks to be same depth. Looks like when my cat tries to eat fudge, markings are extremely similar.

Definitely looks like an animal chewed on it, the dirt could just be saliva. my tablet pen has almost the exact kind of marks from when my dog chewed on it.

My guess is staples. The nose looks like it has been bashed against staples on the box edge during shipping.

The marks are way to big to have been made from staples, and this box is purely folded cardboard and tape. There are no staples in this one. Thanks, Kat! -snug-

Did anyone else notice the smudges of color from the eye mesh on the bridge of the nose?

What puzzles me is a resin anything should be very tough. One of my suits has a nose and teeth that are resin, and I find it very hard that these lil marks can occur with something such as shipping....

I am hardly an expert but it doesn't really look resin to me, resin in my case is shiny, even unpainted it has a sheen to it. This is dull...like clay. I have nothing wrong with clay but it's more fragile and would explain a lot in ways of damage

It is made of resin. It is really quite tough and something would have had to hit it pretty hard for this damage to occur.

Ah o.o well, its...really weirdly sculpted then. And yeaah...no clue how the damage could occur. Resin IS very tough o.<

Definitely chew marks, and the dirty spots on the muzzle appear to be saliva. It really looks like a smaller animal like a cat or a medium sized dog chewed it up.

those do not look like teeth marks at all. a small dog cannot get teeth marks like that
it would be off to one side with a set of bottom and top teeth and deeper canyons per.
not to mention, barely to no marks on the bottom part of the nose.
i own a min pin and i know if he got to something like that, there would be more damage.

it looks like ding marks from something hitting it in nearly the same spot over and over.

When shipping boxes overseas, sometimes during customs they open the box to inspect what's in it. I know that a BUNCH of people who bought fursuits in canada had issues with the government opening up their boxes and destroying fursuits because a while back someone was trying to smuggle in drugs in halloween costumes.
My best guess on the eye is water damage... though, overall it seems to me like mice somehow got to it. Though what would do that to a nose? I dont know. THat's just baffling.
