Unlike my previous portraits of artists, this one is based on a painting that doesn't actually exist. I wanted to write about 
's artwork and was looking at the reference photos of horses that she had taped to the wall by her desk when the vision of a painting in her style came to me. I hope I've captured the essence of her work.
