This is Hayner Von Scalfere's theme (you can read about him here). His character warranted a sort of serious march-like theme. It came out okay, I suppose. I like some of the voice leading. I have something good for you guys next time :3

the repeated bit, happens at 19, happens shortly after, reminds me of

But that's not a bad thing. That was a brassy military man sort of theme, and from what you were saying, guy needed a serious march sort of thing. at 2:12 it picked up a bit. I was expecting a bit more snare 'keep in time' sort of percussion lining it, to help with the march feel, but you pulled it off without the piece wanting much for it.
That DONGGGG sound seems to happen more than i'd expect it to. Bells must be really excited about this guy :3
Anyway, a very nice piece overall. Forgive, that i can't tell you anything technical about your song other than it's good and doesn't seem to want for anything, but
It's good and it doesn't seem to want for anything~ Good to hear something from you. I wish you'd upload more frequently!

I did kinda have Edgar and Sabin's theme in mind when I made this, though really it was probably the Warcraft II soundtrack I was listening to at the time that influenced it most. You know, I originally wrote in a snare, but the commissioner didn't like it, so I had to take it out. Oh well. Also bells are awesome, and they make any orchestral piece more awesome :3
Unfortunately these days I only write a piece every couple weeks. It's not that I don't have the time, but inspiration has been a bit hard to come by lately...

Pff, you gotta be crazy. There's a wealth of amazing music out there, and all of it is good fuel for getting ideas~
Perhaps it doesn't work so well when you're composing grand scores, but at least for me
Eh. usually i get into my tracker and hit a few notes. I find a sequence i like after a short amount of time, and build from there. It's a bit directionless, but maybe composing something on a whim would help you out of your inspirational funk? I dunno~

The problem is I like to always do things I've never done before, and I'm running out of them. Sometimes I throw out random melodies and see if it goes anywhere, and sometimes it does, but not as much as it used to. Also working on this soundtrack means just about everything I've written recently has been what someone else wanted me to...
