My second entry for
Rukis contest. She said I could only answer food if I made it, so I did and made lunch for myself for the next week in the process (always a plus)
I had been playing with the idea of a Lamb and Rice recipe since I read http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6752285. I created a recipe that would make sense for setting (a few middle eastern flavor touches) and for the class of people who would be making and eating it. This dish is designed to get all the nutrition out of the meat being used and stretch a piece of meat without sacrificing flavor. Also its perfect for someone who comes home from work very tired, just throw everything together in the morning and let it cook all day.
I am so not a food photographer. Please forgive my lack of photo skills.
A note - When I made this, I used tomato sauce instead of tomato paste. It was what I had at the time but I think I like using tomato sauce better, made for a smoother tasting finished product, tomato paste can are an annoying harshness.
I was definitely using the eyeballing method for the spices but "pawful" isn't a terribly professional/proper sounding measurement. So the measurements of spices aren't exact...but I don't know anyone who doesn't eyeball herbs and spices.
