Hey there folks! =D Got a new story for you! With thanks to 
riolucariolu for letting me use his Selanine character!
Next day at the park Petie continues his "Lucky" streak and ends up bumbling into MORE trouble... as well as another Hidden Duelist of the park. Luckily this one is a sight kinder then Morning Star was. Where will Petie's adventure take him now?
No dueling in the chapter... but it would have ended up waaaaay too long if I'd included that <,<; you'll have to wait to part 2 for it. Sorry.

“I called Andrew’s family, they don’t mind Anne and Jules staying with them a few more days… but I can’t help but feel guilty…”
“Don’t worry about it dear… even if we could have gotten Jules in on a child’s ticket we couldn’t have gotten Anne in… I didn’t like leaving them behind anymore then you do but there’s nothing that can be done…”
“I know… maybe we should call the trip short and go back?”
“Possibly, but you’d have to talk with Rose and Petie about that.”
After all the events of yesterday the family had decided to deal with the room change first. They’d been located to one of the best rooms of the best hotel in Skyscraper. Multiple rooms, comforts better then what they had at home, they even gave them one with a stocked nursery for the twins and Petie. After that a park worker, dressed as The Legendary Gambler oddly enough, had delivered the gift cards for them and scanned each of their badges. Apparently he needed to do that to make it register in the system and he explained the all the free services they could now get. He’d given Petie a Baby Dragon plushie, gift sent from a fan he’d said, and left the family to their own devises.
From there the family had just tried to get used to their new room… technically rooms. After putting Petie down for a nap, he needed one despite his protests, Momma proceeded to call up the Baros family to let them know the additional two days added to their stay meaning Anne and Jules would be staying longer with them. With that finished Momma and James were currently sitting on the couch, talking about what to do next... among other things.
“Will you LOOK at the size of the flat screen TV!”
“James, there’s more important things to… wow, THAT’S the TV!? I thought it was a wall!!”
“I know! Anyway I figure we could at least enjoy one or two more days before packing it up. We were planning on visiting the Forest field tomorrow.”
“True… I suppose one or two days more couldn’t hurt…”
Just then Rose came rushing in, Room Service menu in hand “Mom! Dad! You won’t BELIEVE what they’ve got on the menu here!” she shouted, grinning ear to ear “And I called them! They said we can get it for free thanks to whatever that guy did to our badges!” she said eagerly before giggling “I asked an they even have a special “Toddler Menu” we can order off of for Petie.” She added with a teasing giggle as a voice shouted from the nursery “I HEARD DAT! NOW LET ME OUT OF THIS CRIB!” Making them all laugh lightly as Momma went to fetch Petie.

“Momma… I’m bored…”
“Hush Petie, enjoy the beauty of nature.”
“… nature without honey trees or snacks is boring…”
“Petie…”
“Sorry Momma…”
The family had, as planned, gone to the Forest field zone. An amazingly huge sea of trees with walkways twisting through them and rest stops spaced among them, which is where the family had stopped to rest and eat the picnic lunch Momma had brought with them. Unfortunately Petie had finished his portion of it fairly quickly and he was now bored silly. As a city kid he was awe struck by nature… to a point. Past that he just got annoyed with it. He watched Holly & Carol sitting on their blanket and looking around in wonder at all that was before them and felt a little envious. He looked like a toddler but he couldn’t get the same kind of joy they did from simple stuff like this.
He looked at the rest of his family… Rose was using the open space to practice some of her training moves (he’d declined to join her) and Momma and James were sitting hand in hand… which bugged Petie a little since he still wasn’t used to the concept of having a daddy or Momma having a husband. Sighing he hopped off the bench he was sitting on and started awkwardly waddling around listlessly. At least nobody was around to see him since he was dressed in a waddlers diaper (they didn’t expect to be able to find a bathroom for him easily) with a loose t shirt and baggy overalls to hide it.
“Don’t wander off too far, okay Petie?” Momma called when she saw him start off as he half-heartedly called back “Okay Momma…” as he continued to explore. Wandering off on one of the many side paths connected to the picnic area he sighed. Trees, trees, and more trees everywhere he looked… just trees, plants, blushes, carved snake statue, trees… Petie promptly stopped in his tracks and nearly fell down doing so. Managing to turn around to look at it despite his lack of balance Petie shuddered. It was barely a foot tall and had he been any taller he wouldn’t have noticed the thing… but it was beautifully carved all the way down to the scales and fangs which gave Petie the shivers.
Turning to leave his protruding bottom bumped the statue… which gave way like a lever and made the bushes part to reveal a heavily slopped path further into the forest. Unfortunately the lever cost Petie his balance and he let out a brief squeal as he went tumbling down the path which was slick with mud making it into an impromptu slide. Petie was barely aware of the bushes closing behind him as he slide, more focused on screaming as he sped out of control down the path on his back. He finally splashed to a stop and spat muddy water as he sat up.
He was in some kind of dark, dank mist filled swamp. Ankle deep (knee deep to him) reddish muddy water surrounded him and there were dead trees all around, forming what looked like a crude fence in a circle and a dome like ceiling overhead. On his hands and knees Petie whimpered since his diaper had ended up soaking up some of the mud and now sloshed unpleasantly. Momma would probably end up putting him back on the baby leash if she found out about this… if he could find his way back to her. Looking at the path he’d come in on he was pretty sure there was no way in heck he could climb back up it… not while having to crawl anyway.
Suddenly a thick hissing like air escaping a balloon filled the air as Petie felt the muddy water around his hands and knees start shifting. He was confused for a moment before he realized that it was moving like there was something very, very large shifting through it. Petie’s face went pale and his voice caught in his throat as he quickly looked around and indeed saw something rising out from the murky depths across from him, not even ten feet away. Petie’s eyes grew to the size of saucers as the shape started to take a form Petie recognized from his most vivid and horrible nightmares.
The start was a female humanoid torso and head with pale white, almost grey skin, wearing a gold necklace and a gold mask on her upper face with bright red eyes. This wasn’t so horrible till Petie realized the flowing blue things on her head he’d thought was hair was actually a mass of hissing snakes. It only got worse from there as the… thing pulled its arms from the muck, revealing them to be huge snake heads easily big enough to swallow Petie in one bite. Finally the creature finished rising, revealing that from the waist down her body was that of a giant serpents. Even with some of her tail still hidden in the swamp she stood a good ten or twelve feet tall, towering over Petie, as a raspy hissing voice was heard.
“Congradulationssss on finding the Venom Ssssswamp, I Vennominaga the Deity of Poisssssonousssss Sssssnakessss offer you a chance to duel for…” the voice stopped as it seemed to realize how it was talking to “A toddler?” the surprise in its tone completely went over Petie’s head… mostly cause he was in the midst of having a panic attack of immeasurable proportions. He hated snakes, he was terrified of snakes, every time he was near them it felt like his chest was being crushed… which was why he was currently spasming on the ground, gasping for breath as his fear crazed heart felt like it might explode from his chest it was pounding so hard.
He felt his loose overalls fall off him as he twisted and turned and his t shirt got tangled up around his arms and head due to how violently he was thrashing. He couldn’t breathe, it felt like something in his chest was about to explode as he started to black out. The last thing he could recall seeing before he passed out facedown in the muck was a door opening in the fence of dead trees and people in medical uniforms rushing towards him as he could vaguely make out yelling, after that… darkness.

Selanine lightly stretched a little as she walked through the many access tunnels branching through the parks underground. They were there to allow workers to get anywhere on the island quickly as well as contain various offices, control rooms, and other necessary you wanted to keep away from the public’s prying eyes. Better known on the island as “Venus” Selanine was one of the park’s “Hidden Duelists” and as such was well known and respected by the staff… partially because unlike Morning Star she kept a kind and humble attitude when not “In Character” and was bearable to be around.
The tall ninetails had a beautiful, full, and curvy figure with the kind of proportions you’d find on a goddess… helped by the Roman toga outfit accented with gold she was wearing which completed the image of a goddess walking amongst mortals. And as of this moment the goddess was positively bored. Nobody had found her hidden temple in several days leaving her with nothing to do… and she hadn’t brought one of her kids with her today to play the role of cupid so she couldn’t even do that to kill time. So she’d taken a break to go on a walk to clear her mind and lift her spirits. Despite the constant activity of people moving through them the underground tunnels were rather peaceful…
Just as she thought that she heard the sound of panicked voice and a medical stretcher being wheel across the hard floor quickly. Her curiosity peeked she glanced around the corner to see what was happening… just in time to see a familiar teddiursa being wheeled into a doctor’s office, obviously unconscious, as the doctors quickly cut his shirt away from where it was wrapped dangerously around his neck and arms. She stared in shock for a moment before rushing over just in time to see the child’s well used diapered bottom vanish into the office. Luckily she managed to snag one of the nurses who was lagging behind as she turned the girl to face her.
“What happened!?” she demanded as the nurse blinked in surprise for a moment before answer “T-the child had an attack of some kind when he encountered one of our hidden duelists, we’re making sure he’s not injured or injured himself.” She explained as Selanine nodded before growling “Who did this to that poor boy?” which made the nurse gulp and point down the hall where Selanine could make out the sounds of somebody. Letting the nurse go the fox stalked down there, fully intent on making whoever would do this to a poor, defenseless child suffer.
She stopped in she tracks when she rounded the corner and found a seviper girl who looked about in her twenties, Selanine recognized her as one of the newer recruits into the hidden duelists, sobbing her eyes out. She hadn’t even changed out of the motion capture suit that the park used to project holograms over you to create the more… unusual Hidden Duelists. Her better nature taking over Selanine pulled the girl into a hug and rubbed her back gently “Easy there dear, easy… just tell me what happened…” she said soothingly as the bawling girl began explaining through her sobs.
After a few minutes of muddled words mixed with crying Selanine understood that she’d greeted the child when he’d entered her area like she was supposed to and he’d just collapsed convulsing and acting like he was suffocating. She’d immediately alerted the medical response team, which Selanine was proud of since most newbies probably would have forgotten that for a minute or two in a panic, but she was apparently utterly terrified she might have killed a child. Gently rubbing her shoulders Selanine did her best to reassure the snake that the boy would be okay and that she’d personally see to that before sending her back to the arena where she was supposed to be.
Sighing softly she quickly padded back to the doctor’s office and put her ear to the door. She usually didn’t condone eavesdropping… but this was special circumstances. “The boy seems alright at the moment… he just had an extreme panic attack.” “But why doctor?” “I don’t know honestly, but it’d probably be best if we contacted his parents and got him back to them as soon as possible. Unfortunately I can’t keep him here, so we’ll need to find somebody to watch him till then.” “… somebody who can hopefully change diapers.” “Please remain professional nurse.” “Sorry doctor.”
Selanine couldn’t believe her luck as she had to bite back a smile to keep a professional look as she gently pushed open the door “I believe I can help you with that actually.”

Petie groaned as he fluttered his eyes open... overhead lights and white walls along with the smells told him he was in a doctor’s office... and that he REALLY needed a diaper change... what had happened? Last thing he remembered was... was something out of a nightmares... giant snake lady... he shuddered at that thought as he whined and squirmed, trying to get his bearings. From outside the office he heard muffled voices. They continued for a moment before the door opened up and a ninetails lady dressed in an authentic looking toga walked in. "Don't worry. I'll look after him. Just work on finding his momma." she laughed before she turned to look at Petie. "Well hi there sleepy head! How ya feeling?"
Petie blinked as he looked at her in confusion for a moment before remembering the encounter yesterday with the hidden duelists "... I knu yu..." he said, recognizing her. She was the one who'd asked to hold him! The Ninetales nodded and smiled happily. "You remember me!" she laughed. "My name is Selanine. I'm known as Venus around the park. Sounds like you had another little encounter with one of our hidden duelists." She walked across the room as she spoke and began rummaging in a few cabinets. "Oh! Before I forget the duelist sends apologies. We have no idea what happened or if we did anything to cause it.”
Petie shuddered violently as what happened finally returned to him "I... dun wike snakes..." he lisped, sucking on his thumb for comfort. He'd lost his overalls and shirt somewhere along the way apparently he realized as he struggled to sit up, his diaper squishing unpleasantly and making him wince. She came back up with a new diaper sized for him and winced on seeing him sit up. "Poor thing..." she cooed, reaching down and grabbing a container of wipes. "You kinda spasmed out of your clothes the doctor's told me dear. Pathological fear I'm guessing? We'll get you new clothes before your mommy comes to find you."
Petie blushed and hug his head "I... dun wike snakes..." he said again, not wanting to imagine what his fear driven panic attack had been like to watch. Selanine nodded and helped him lay back down, rubbing a tail soothingly on his chest. It was an old-wive's trick she knew to help a baby breath. "Well you won't have to see that place again hopefully. It's hard enough to find once." she told him as she reached for and began undoing the tapes on his padding. He blushed and whimpered, but was too exhausted to struggle any as she untapped his well-used diaper as he sucked on his thumb weakly.
The Ninetales kept rubbing his chest soothingly as expert swipes from her tails, each holding a wipe on the end of them, had him clean in a quarter of the time it would have taken hands to do. With her paws she rolled up the used diaper along with the wipes and tossed it away as her tails lifted the small normal type's rear and slid a new diaper under him. "I'm sorry but forgive me if I'm wrong... your name is Petie right? Julafton?" she asked in attempts to strike up a conversation.
He nodded weakly, still too busy sucking on his thumb to talk, he blushed more as she lifted him to slide the diaper underneath since she could see his adorable bottom (the likes of which you only find on cute babies) and heart birth mark. Selanine actually giggled on seeing the birthmark. "Sorry dear. I find it hard to resist cute. Even when cute is older than five years old." She winked at him knowingly as she dusted him with baby powder.
Petie went wide eyed and pale for a moment before babbling "I-i-i"m onwy twee yea owd...!" trying to preserve his cover. Selanine grinned at that. "A three year old who can read duel monster cards and understands how to strategize well enough to beat one of our parks area duelists?" she asked. "I'm a mother of nine in my house alone dear. Most of which happen to be your stature and wear diapers too. If I had to guess... you're about... sixteen?"
"... fourteen..." he weakly admitted, taking his thumb out of his mouth and sniffling... shivering a little since he's lying there on the examination table nude waiting for her to tape the diaper on. "Oh! Sorry dear!" She realized her mistake at his shiver and had the diaper taped up in seconds, pulling him into a hug with her tails a moment after. "And only fourteen? Odd, you struck me as a little older than that. Anyway, you can relax dear, I'm not about to blab your secret to my bosses. For one I doubt they'd believe it and for another after your sister helped us out with the Morning Star incident I think they'd be willing to turn their heads on the matter."
Petie blushed and snuggled into the tails, letting the soft fluff warm him "T-thank yu..." he said, sticking his thumb back in his mouth. "Not a problem dear!" she said with another giggle. "Do you always suck your thumb when you're nervous by the way?" She made sure her tails had a firm hold on him and left the room with him, waving to a few of the employees along the way down the hall. He quickly pulled his paw out of his mouth and hid it, blushing more "... maybe..." he said as the choker Selanine was wearing started to buzz.
"Uh-oh... we're gonna have to do a rain check on getting you to a gift shop for clothes sweetie." Selanine said as she began running for her station "I'm about to have company!" making Petie looked at her in confusion "Wha...? Company?" he squeaked as she dashed into a small room and started scurrying around after setting him down on a stool. "I'm a hidden duelist. This choker of mine is telling me a challenger is imminent." she explained. "I need you to do a little favor for me dear."
Petie just stood on the stool looking at her more confused than before "Um... otay?" he said as Selanine grabbed a matching choker from a shelf and a large thick cloth. "I need you to be a cupid for me and either just sit in my lap and watch the duel or referee if you feel comfortable." She told him. "Gotta dress you up for the part real quick though. Spread your legs a bit dear." Petie just stared at her blankly for a moment... but spread his legs as much as he could without falling off the stool.
Selanine slipped the cloth between his legs and brought it up around his waist. "Hmmm... pins or tied..." she mused for a moment. After another moment's hesitation she tied the sides of the cloth snuggly together and smiled at the cloth diaper Petie now wore over the top of his own. "Adorable! Now all we need is this to complete the ensemble." She said as she slipped the choker around his neck. Petie whined since the new cloth made his waddle and diaper insanely obvious as he looked at her and asked "... shouldn't I have wings or something?"
She smiled and tapped a small gem on the choker, surrounding him with a glowing light and making a pair of adorable little wings sprout from his back. "Take a look dear!" She pointed at a window as she tapped her own, giving herself a glow and spreading a rainbow nimbus from behind her head. Petie unsteadily waddled over to window and looked in awe at the glow around him and the little fluttering wings on his back. They seemed to move to his mood, fluttering nervously at his surprise, but he had no clue how they’d be able to do that…
Selanine added a white sash over one shoulder and adjusted the fit with a smile before she slipped a small quiver with a bow and arrows inside it over the other. "There! Now you're a proper little cupid!" she said. "Oh! We gotta hurry! We've less than a minute now!" She snagged him before he had much time to look at his new outfit and ran out to her throne, seating herself upon an ornate marble throne with Petie in her lap. Petie blinked and looked around in confusion before his jaw dropped in awe at the place.
It was a white marble roman temple that seemed to sparkle with its own glow. Everything was decked in finery and beauty with jeweled statues of animals Petie SWORE he recognized from somewhere lining the walls. There was seven of them, each made out of what appeared to be a different gemstone. Ruby, Amethyst, Cobalt, Amber, Topaz, Emerald, and Sapphire… they were awe inspiring. Along with them lush red drapes completed the effect that this was a temple dedicated to beauty in its most extravagant form. He couldn’t imagine where and how they hid this… but that was probably the point of the whole “Hidden Duelist” thing…
Selanine looked down at him and gave him a quick hug. "Gotta try and be an actor Petie." she told him. "I'm Venus, the Goddess of Love. You're my son Cupid, my beloved baby boy who loves his mommy just as much." Petie nodded weakly "Otay... I tink I can do dat..." he said, fairly confident in his acting skills after all those diaper, wipes, and other baby commercials he’d done in the past. He was about to open his mouth to ask another question when a loud voice tore through the temple.
"HEY!!! WHERE'S THE HEAD HONCHO HERE!!?"
Selanine winced at the loud sound as it echoed in the largely empty place. "No need to shout sir, I'm right here and you've found me. Welcome to the Temple of Venus." A thin mankey guy, looking about 18, wearing a tattered pair of jean and a white and black striped shirt strode in. He paused for a moment to look around the beautiful temple in annoyance. Selanine smiled politely at him. "Congratulations on finding this place of love." she said welcomingly. "I am the park's Mistress of Beauty, Lady Venus. It is no small feat to find this place." He snorted dismissively "Tell me bout it, took me for damn ever to find it... now where's the duelist?"
Selanine grinned as well as any fox could at him. "I am she, the Lady Venus. The Goddess of Love, Beauty, and Motherhood..." She smiled much more gently down at Petie and raised a paw to stroke one of his ears. "And this is my son cupid. As you found this place I must ask, will you accept the challenge of a hidden duelist? The spoils of victory are very great but I must warn you the price of defeat is steep." She said as Petie cooed and snuggled into her, pulling off a perfect innocent baby routine.
The manky laughed "Sure! I'll accept!" he shouted before licking his lips "Do you come with the spoils by the way?" he added with an unpleasant leer. Selanine hid one of her tails behind the throne as the tip lit with a Will-o-Wisp and kept grinning at him. "We shall see... but first!" Another tail that was already behind the throne pressed a hidden button upon its back. Two arrows appeared above the throne aimed right for the Mankey's heart, one tipped with gold and one tipped with lead. "We shall see what is in your heart. Love, or lust? Which shall pierce you and put you to the test?"
Petie tried not to jump in surprise as the arrows appeared as his wings fluttered softly. The mankey went bug eyed and backed up a little "Whoah whoah WHOAH toots! No need to go shooting people!" he stammered, apparently thinking he'd be genuinely shot. Selanine grinned at him mischievously as the arrows floated down towards Petie's paws and she handed him his bow. "Know you not your mythology?" she teased. "Cupid's arrows never killed anyone. Cupids golden arrows filled hearts with love... while the lead arrows filled their hearts with lust."
Playing his role beautifuly despite barely having a clue what he was doing Petie aimed the bow at the mankey and giggled as he twanged the string. The guy still seemed unsure about this before finally snorting "Fine... love then I guess, got enough lust as is." he added with another lewd chuckle. "Very well then!" Selanine giggled, handing the gold arrow to Petie. "Cupid, be a dear for mommy and let love fill his heart, that we may begin his test.” She said making Petie nod and giggle innocently, still playing the role perfectly, put the arrow in the bow and fired it... praying he could actually hit the guy.
Selanine grinned broadly when the arrow flew true and stuck in the chest of the Mankey painlessly. "The challenge is set!" Her voiced boomed throughout the temple. In front of her throne a small table rose and from a compartment she drew her deck to place it there on the table itself. "Let the Shadow Game commence! Time to duel!"
“Finally!”
“Oh and what shall I call you brave challenger?”
“Call me Mike beautiful, the guy who’s gonna whip that fine ass of yours!”
“… we shall see… duel!”
“Duel!!”

He looked like a toddler but he couldn’t get the same kind of joy they did from simple stuff like this.
He looked at the rest of his family… Rose was using the open space to practice some of her training moves (he’d declined to join her) and Momma and James were sitting hand in hand… which bugged Petie a little since he still wasn’t used to the concept of having a daddy or Momma having a husband. Sighing he hopped off the bench he was sitting on and started awkwardly waddling around listlessly. At least nobody was around to see him since he was dressed in a waddlers diaper (they didn’t expect to be able to find a bathroom for him easily) with a loose t shirt and baggy overalls to hide it.
“Don’t wander off too far, okay Petie?” Momma called when she saw him start off as he half-heartedly called back “Okay Momma…” as he continued to explore. Wandering off on one of the many side paths connected to the picnic area he sighed. Trees, trees, and more trees everywhere he looked… just trees, plants, blushes, carved snake statue, trees… Petie promptly stopped in his tracks and nearly fell down doing so. Managing to turn around to look at it despite his lack of balance Petie shuddered. It was barely a foot tall and had he been any taller he wouldn’t have noticed the thing… but it was beautifully carved all the way down to the scales and fangs which gave Petie the shivers.
Turning to leave his protruding bottom bumped the statue… which gave way like a lever and made the bushes part to reveal a heavily slopped path further into the forest. Unfortunately the lever cost Petie his balance and he let out a brief squeal as he went tumbling down the path which was slick with mud making it into an impromptu slide. Petie was barely aware of the bushes closing behind him as he slide, more focused on screaming as he sped out of control down the path on his back. He finally splashed to a stop and spat muddy water as he sat up.
He was in some kind of dark, dank mist filled swamp. Ankle deep (knee deep to him) reddish muddy water surrounded him and there were dead trees all around, forming what looked like a crude fence in a circle and a dome like ceiling overhead. On his hands and knees Petie whimpered since his diaper had ended up soaking up some of the mud and now sloshed unpleasantly. Momma would probably end up putting him back on the baby leash if she found out about this… if he could find his way back to her. Looking at the path he’d come in on he was pretty sure there was no way in heck he could climb back up it… not while having to crawl anyway.
Suddenly a thick hissing like air escaping a balloon filled the air as Petie felt the muddy water around his hands and knees start shifting. He was confused for a moment before he realized that it was moving like there was something very, very large shifting through it. Petie’s face went pale and his voice caught in his throat as he quickly looked around and indeed saw something rising out from the murky depths across from him, not even ten feet away. Petie’s eyes grew to the size of saucers as the shape started to take a form Petie recognized from his most vivid and horrible nightmares.
The start was a female humanoid torso and head with pale white, almost grey skin, wearing a gold necklace and a gold mask on her upper face with bright red eyes. This wasn’t so horrible till Petie realized the flowing blue things on her head he’d thought was hair was actually a mass of hissing snakes. It only got worse from there as the… thing pulled its arms from the muck, revealing them to be huge snake heads easily big enough to swallow Petie in one bite. Finally the creature finished rising, revealing that from the waist down her body was that of a giant serpents. Even with some of her tail still hidden in the swamp she stood a good ten or twelve feet tall, towering over Petie, as a raspy hissing voice was heard.
“Congradulationssss on finding the Venom Ssssswamp, I Vennominaga the Deity of Poisssssonousssss Sssssnakessss offer you a chance to duel for…” the voice stopped as it seemed to realize how it was talking to “A toddler?” the surprise in its tone completely went over Petie’s head… mostly cause he was in the midst of having a panic attack of immeasurable proportions. He hated snakes, he was terrified of snakes, every time he was near them it felt like his chest was being crushed… which was why he was currently spasming on the ground, gasping for breath as his fear crazed heart felt like it might explode from his chest it was pounding so hard.
He felt his loose overalls fall off him as he twisted and turned and his t shirt got tangled up around his arms and head due to how violently he was thrashing. He couldn’t breathe, it felt like something in his chest was about to explode as he started to black out. The last thing he could recall seeing before he passed out facedown in the muck was a door opening in the fence of dead trees and people in medical uniforms rushing towards him as he could vaguely make out yelling, after that… darkness.

Selanine lightly stretched a little as she walked through the many access tunnels branching through the parks underground. They were there to allow workers to get anywhere on the island quickly as well as contain various offices, control rooms, and other necessary you wanted to keep away from the public’s prying eyes. Better known on the island as “Venus” Selanine was one of the park’s “Hidden Duelists” and as such was well known and respected by the staff… partially because unlike Morning Star she kept a kind and humble attitude when not “In Character” and was bearable to be around.
The tall ninetails had a beautiful, full, and curvy figure with the kind of proportions you’d find on a goddess… helped by the Roman toga outfit accented with gold she was wearing which completed the image of a goddess walking amongst mortals. And as of this moment the goddess was positively bored. Nobody had found her hidden temple in several days leaving her with nothing to do… and she hadn’t brought one of her kids with her today to play the role of cupid so she couldn’t even do that to kill time. So she’d taken a break to go on a walk to clear her mind and lift her spirits. Despite the constant activity of people moving through them the underground tunnels were rather peaceful…
Just as she thought that she heard the sound of panicked voice and a medical stretcher being wheel across the hard floor quickly. Her curiosity peeked she glanced around the corner to see what was happening… just in time to see a familiar teddiursa being wheeled into a doctor’s office, obviously unconscious, as the doctors quickly cut his shirt away from where it was wrapped dangerously around his neck and arms. She stared in shock for a moment before rushing over just in time to see the child’s well used diapered bottom vanish into the office. Luckily she managed to snag one of the nurses who was lagging behind as she turned the girl to face her.
“What happened!?” she demanded as the nurse blinked in surprise for a moment before answer “T-the child had an attack of some kind when he encountered one of our hidden duelists, we’re making sure he’s not injured or injured himself.” She explained as Selanine nodded before growling “Who did this to that poor boy?” which made the nurse gulp and point down the hall where Selanine could make out the sounds of somebody. Letting the nurse go the fox stalked down there, fully intent on making whoever would do this to a poor, defenseless child suffer.
She stopped in she tracks when she rounded the corner and found a seviper girl who looked about in her twenties, Selanine recognized her as one of the newer recruits into the hidden duelists, sobbing her eyes out. She hadn’t even changed out of the motion capture suit that the park used to project holograms over you to create the more… unusual Hidden Duelists. Her better nature taking over Selanine pulled the girl into a hug and rubbed her back gently “Easy there dear, easy… just tell me what happened…” she said soothingly as the bawling girl began explaining through her sobs.
After a few minutes of muddled words mixed with crying Selanine understood that she’d greeted the child when he’d entered her area like she was supposed to and he’d just collapsed convulsing and acting like he was suffocating. She’d immediately alerted the medical response team, which Selanine was proud of since most newbies probably would have forgotten that for a minute or two in a panic, but she was apparently utterly terrified she might have killed a child. Gently rubbing her shoulders Selanine did her best to reassure the snake that the boy would be okay and that she’d personally see to that before sending her back to the arena where she was supposed to be.
Sighing softly she quickly padded back to the doctor’s office and put her ear to the door. She usually didn’t condone eavesdropping… but this was special circumstances. “The boy seems alright at the moment… he just had an extreme panic attack.” “But why doctor?” “I don’t know honestly, but it’d probably be best if we contacted his parents and got him back to them as soon as possible. Unfortunately I can’t keep him here, so we’ll need to find somebody to watch him till then.” “… somebody who can hopefully change diapers.” “Please remain professional nurse.” “Sorry doctor.”
Selanine couldn’t believe her luck as she had to bite back a smile to keep a professional look as she gently pushed open the door “I believe I can help you with that actually.”

Petie groaned as he fluttered his eyes open... overhead lights and white walls along with the smells told him he was in a doctor’s office... and that he REALLY needed a diaper change... what had happened? Last thing he remembered was... was something out of a nightmares... giant snake lady... he shuddered at that thought as he whined and squirmed, trying to get his bearings. From outside the office he heard muffled voices. They continued for a moment before the door opened up and a ninetails lady dressed in an authentic looking toga walked in. "Don't worry. I'll look after him. Just work on finding his momma." she laughed before she turned to look at Petie. "Well hi there sleepy head! How ya feeling?"
Petie blinked as he looked at her in confusion for a moment before remembering the encounter yesterday with the hidden duelists "... I knu yu..." he said, recognizing her. She was the one who'd asked to hold him! The Ninetales nodded and smiled happily. "You remember me!" she laughed. "My name is Selanine. I'm known as Venus around the park. Sounds like you had another little encounter with one of our hidden duelists." She walked across the room as she spoke and began rummaging in a few cabinets. "Oh! Before I forget the duelist sends apologies. We have no idea what happened or if we did anything to cause it.”
Petie shuddered violently as what happened finally returned to him "I... dun wike snakes..." he lisped, sucking on his thumb for comfort. He'd lost his overalls and shirt somewhere along the way apparently he realized as he struggled to sit up, his diaper squishing unpleasantly and making him wince. She came back up with a new diaper sized for him and winced on seeing him sit up. "Poor thing..." she cooed, reaching down and grabbing a container of wipes. "You kinda spasmed out of your clothes the doctor's told me dear. Pathological fear I'm guessing? We'll get you new clothes before your mommy comes to find you."
Petie blushed and hug his head "I... dun wike snakes..." he said again, not wanting to imagine what his fear driven panic attack had been like to watch. Selanine nodded and helped him lay back down, rubbing a tail soothingly on his chest. It was an old-wive's trick she knew to help a baby breath. "Well you won't have to see that place again hopefully. It's hard enough to find once." she told him as she reached for and began undoing the tapes on his padding. He blushed and whimpered, but was too exhausted to struggle any as she untapped his well-used diaper as he sucked on his thumb weakly.
The Ninetales kept rubbing his chest soothingly as expert swipes from her tails, each holding a wipe on the end of them, had him clean in a quarter of the time it would have taken hands to do. With her paws she rolled up the used diaper along with the wipes and tossed it away as her tails lifted the small normal type's rear and slid a new diaper under him. "I'm sorry but forgive me if I'm wrong... your name is Petie right? Julafton?" she asked in attempts to strike up a conversation.
He nodded weakly, still too busy sucking on his thumb to talk, he blushed more as she lifted him to slide the diaper underneath since she could see his adorable bottom (the likes of which you only find on cute babies) and heart birth mark. Selanine actually giggled on seeing the birthmark. "Sorry dear. I find it hard to resist cute. Even when cute is older than five years old." She winked at him knowingly as she dusted him with baby powder.
Petie went wide eyed and pale for a moment before babbling "I-i-i"m onwy twee yea owd...!" trying to preserve his cover. Selanine grinned at that. "A three year old who can read duel monster cards and understands how to strategize well enough to beat one of our parks area duelists?" she asked. "I'm a mother of nine in my house alone dear. Most of which happen to be your stature and wear diapers too. If I had to guess... you're about... sixteen?"
"... fourteen..." he weakly admitted, taking his thumb out of his mouth and sniffling... shivering a little since he's lying there on the examination table nude waiting for her to tape the diaper on. "Oh! Sorry dear!" She realized her mistake at his shiver and had the diaper taped up in seconds, pulling him into a hug with her tails a moment after. "And only fourteen? Odd, you struck me as a little older than that. Anyway, you can relax dear, I'm not about to blab your secret to my bosses. For one I doubt they'd believe it and for another after your sister helped us out with the Morning Star incident I think they'd be willing to turn their heads on the matter."
Petie blushed and snuggled into the tails, letting the soft fluff warm him "T-thank yu..." he said, sticking his thumb back in his mouth. "Not a problem dear!" she said with another giggle. "Do you always suck your thumb when you're nervous by the way?" She made sure her tails had a firm hold on him and left the room with him, waving to a few of the employees along the way down the hall. He quickly pulled his paw out of his mouth and hid it, blushing more "... maybe..." he said as the choker Selanine was wearing started to buzz.
"Uh-oh... we're gonna have to do a rain check on getting you to a gift shop for clothes sweetie." Selanine said as she began running for her station "I'm about to have company!" making Petie looked at her in confusion "Wha...? Company?" he squeaked as she dashed into a small room and started scurrying around after setting him down on a stool. "I'm a hidden duelist. This choker of mine is telling me a challenger is imminent." she explained. "I need you to do a little favor for me dear."
Petie just stood on the stool looking at her more confused than before "Um... otay?" he said as Selanine grabbed a matching choker from a shelf and a large thick cloth. "I need you to be a cupid for me and either just sit in my lap and watch the duel or referee if you feel comfortable." She told him. "Gotta dress you up for the part real quick though. Spread your legs a bit dear." Petie just stared at her blankly for a moment... but spread his legs as much as he could without falling off the stool.
Selanine slipped the cloth between his legs and brought it up around his waist. "Hmmm... pins or tied..." she mused for a moment. After another moment's hesitation she tied the sides of the cloth snuggly together and smiled at the cloth diaper Petie now wore over the top of his own. "Adorable! Now all we need is this to complete the ensemble." She said as she slipped the choker around his neck. Petie whined since the new cloth made his waddle and diaper insanely obvious as he looked at her and asked "... shouldn't I have wings or something?"
She smiled and tapped a small gem on the choker, surrounding him with a glowing light and making a pair of adorable little wings sprout from his back. "Take a look dear!" She pointed at a window as she tapped her own, giving herself a glow and spreading a rainbow nimbus from behind her head. Petie unsteadily waddled over to window and looked in awe at the glow around him and the little fluttering wings on his back. They seemed to move to his mood, fluttering nervously at his surprise, but he had no clue how they’d be able to do that…
Selanine added a white sash over one shoulder and adjusted the fit with a smile before she slipped a small quiver with a bow and arrows inside it over the other. "There! Now you're a proper little cupid!" she said. "Oh! We gotta hurry! We've less than a minute now!" She snagged him before he had much time to look at his new outfit and ran out to her throne, seating herself upon an ornate marble throne with Petie in her lap. Petie blinked and looked around in confusion before his jaw dropped in awe at the place.
It was a white marble roman temple that seemed to sparkle with its own glow. Everything was decked in finery and beauty with jeweled statues of animals Petie SWORE he recognized from somewhere lining the walls. There was seven of them, each made out of what appeared to be a different gemstone. Ruby, Amethyst, Cobalt, Amber, Topaz, Emerald, and Sapphire… they were awe inspiring. Along with them lush red drapes completed the effect that this was a temple dedicated to beauty in its most extravagant form. He couldn’t imagine where and how they hid this… but that was probably the point of the whole “Hidden Duelist” thing…
Selanine looked down at him and gave him a quick hug. "Gotta try and be an actor Petie." she told him. "I'm Venus, the Goddess of Love. You're my son Cupid, my beloved baby boy who loves his mommy just as much." Petie nodded weakly "Otay... I tink I can do dat..." he said, fairly confident in his acting skills after all those diaper, wipes, and other baby commercials he’d done in the past. He was about to open his mouth to ask another question when a loud voice tore through the temple.
"HEY!!! WHERE'S THE HEAD HONCHO HERE!!?"
Selanine winced at the loud sound as it echoed in the largely empty place. "No need to shout sir, I'm right here and you've found me. Welcome to the Temple of Venus." A thin mankey guy, looking about 18, wearing a tattered pair of jean and a white and black striped shirt strode in. He paused for a moment to look around the beautiful temple in annoyance. Selanine smiled politely at him. "Congratulations on finding this place of love." she said welcomingly. "I am the park's Mistress of Beauty, Lady Venus. It is no small feat to find this place." He snorted dismissively "Tell me bout it, took me for damn ever to find it... now where's the duelist?"
Selanine grinned as well as any fox could at him. "I am she, the Lady Venus. The Goddess of Love, Beauty, and Motherhood..." She smiled much more gently down at Petie and raised a paw to stroke one of his ears. "And this is my son cupid. As you found this place I must ask, will you accept the challenge of a hidden duelist? The spoils of victory are very great but I must warn you the price of defeat is steep." She said as Petie cooed and snuggled into her, pulling off a perfect innocent baby routine.
The manky laughed "Sure! I'll accept!" he shouted before licking his lips "Do you come with the spoils by the way?" he added with an unpleasant leer. Selanine hid one of her tails behind the throne as the tip lit with a Will-o-Wisp and kept grinning at him. "We shall see... but first!" Another tail that was already behind the throne pressed a hidden button upon its back. Two arrows appeared above the throne aimed right for the Mankey's heart, one tipped with gold and one tipped with lead. "We shall see what is in your heart. Love, or lust? Which shall pierce you and put you to the test?"
Petie tried not to jump in surprise as the arrows appeared as his wings fluttered softly. The mankey went bug eyed and backed up a little "Whoah whoah WHOAH toots! No need to go shooting people!" he stammered, apparently thinking he'd be genuinely shot. Selanine grinned at him mischievously as the arrows floated down towards Petie's paws and she handed him his bow. "Know you not your mythology?" she teased. "Cupid's arrows never killed anyone. Cupids golden arrows filled hearts with love... while the lead arrows filled their hearts with lust."
Playing his role beautifuly despite barely having a clue what he was doing Petie aimed the bow at the mankey and giggled as he twanged the string. The guy still seemed unsure about this before finally snorting "Fine... love then I guess, got enough lust as is." he added with another lewd chuckle. "Very well then!" Selanine giggled, handing the gold arrow to Petie. "Cupid, be a dear for mommy and let love fill his heart, that we may begin his test.” She said making Petie nod and giggle innocently, still playing the role perfectly, put the arrow in the bow and fired it... praying he could actually hit the guy.
Selanine grinned broadly when the arrow flew true and stuck in the chest of the Mankey painlessly. "The challenge is set!" Her voiced boomed throughout the temple. In front of her throne a small table rose and from a compartment she drew her deck to place it there on the table itself. "Let the Shadow Game commence! Time to duel!"
“Finally!”
“Oh and what shall I call you brave challenger?”
“Call me Mike beautiful, the guy who’s gonna whip that fine ass of yours!”
“… we shall see… duel!”
“Duel!!”
