In the somber coliseum, two muscular lizards were ready to spar off against one another. Each one watching the other’s movements carefully, there was no room for mistakes as they poised like hounds ready to pounce.
“Haha, you seem to be not ready for today, huh? Unde……ahhhh!?” A muscular red lizard said tauntingly, but was cut off as he was grabbed by the brawny green dragon in front of him. The movement was quick, and caught him off guard.
“Ha, Brunder! This time the victory will belong to me!” The green dragon caught the red lizard’s neck, who pinned him down, with his powerful left hand.
The red lizard, Brunder, is the leader of a secret cult called "The Rubrum Brethren". And the green dragon, Underax, came from the far eastern, invited to join this cult by Brunder. Of course, not anyone could join the very private club. Underax had to pass a test that varies from candidate to candidate. All tests are held in order to prove the candidates if they have the qualification for The Rubrum Brethren.
The test for Underax was wrestling.
The rules are simple. No elbowing, no punching, kicking, clawing, and no choking. Otherwise, Underax would be disqualified. The first person to pin down the other wins the match.
After several rounds, they both panted deeply, covered with their sweat. With one quick run, Brunder shouted, and ran toward the green dragon. In this time, they grabbed opposite hands of each other. As the strength developed more, their pulse quickened, sweat dripped from their forehead, and down to the ground from the previous scuffle, and veins appeared on their giant bodies due to strain once more.
“Raaaa!” Brunder yelled and pushed Underax down, pinning him to the ground. The green dragon considered he would lose the contest, so he ignored the rule, choking red lizard’s neck with his left arm.
“You…dare…”Brunder said laboriously because of this power grab. But Underax didn’t care, because it was the only opportunity for him to win the test. Due to the choke hold, more drool was generated from Brunder’s mouth and flowed out, dripping on the green dragon’s left limb.
“What… my left arm…?” Underax thought, finding that his left arm couldn’t be control gradually. He tried to resist, but there was nothing he could do. At last, it fell down to ground from Brunder’s neck.
Brunder steadily wiped drool from his mouth, spitting on the ground. “My saliva has a neurotoxin capable of rendering a opponents limbs helpless. I figured since you cheated, I would as well.” Brunder said, pinning the green dragon’s left limb.
“Oh, I see…” Underax tried to move his arm again, but it was to no avail.
“You are the first person breaking the rules since I became the leader. Why did you do that?” Brunder said, keeping on pinning Underax’s arms. Brunder could not hold back the surprise in his voice.
“I…I…that’s because……”Underax stammered, trying to answer, but only stuttering.
"You did know the result about breaking the rules, didn’t you? Tell me your reasons, dragon!”Brunder interrupted.
“Because…I…I want to stay here!” Underax shouted. The red lizard pondered for a moment on what Underax was saying, and stayed quite to hear him finish.
“I can’t find anything better than this! People here are very kind to me, and I love the facilities here like the hot spring. The most of all, I admire the companionship between each of the members here. The most important thing right now is that I pass this test!” Underax paused after finishing the statement.
“I…I once had the match… But it disappeared from my eyes… I had no choice. You are really great at wrestling, so I decided to break the rule to try to see if I could win this test. It looks like I just failed though.” The green dragon laughed, with some tears in his eye. “OK, I admit I lose entirely, so let me go! I quit right now!”
It was quite for a while. The red lizard pondered, not moving his body. “Hey, what’s going on? Let me go!” Underax struggled when he didn’t feel Brunder loosening his grip on his body.
“Did I say you lose? You have proved yourself to join us.” Brunder said and loosed dragon’s arms.
“What..? I…I was pinned down by you many times, wasn’t I? And this time, I broke the rule. Then I should be…”
"No! You don’t know what I mean? This is a test, not just wrestling.” The lizard interrupted, standing up to help the dragon.
“I don’t understand.” Underax said as he was pulled to stand with his right hand.
“The most important target for test is to prove your endurance, strength, skills, and the most of all, your mind. I have tested and realized your endurance, strength and skills are enough for wrestling, but not your thought. After you talked about what you care about, I absolutely believed that your mind is fit for here. So that’s why I said you have passed the test. Even though you did break a rule, it showed how much you care about the Rubrum Brethren.” Brunder answered as he supported Underax’s shoulder. “I’m sorry about the neurotoxin. Let’s go get your arm healed.
“Thanks, bro.” The green dragon said faintly.
“Actually, I like your courage and personality. Maybe you can be my good partner.”
"Haha, really? Thanks for your praise.” They disappeared from the coliseum.
After that, Underax joined The Rubrum Brethren, and had a great relation with Brunder. After many days, he asked a question to Brunder.
“Brunder, remember when you went through all the rules before, I realized that you forgot to mention one…”
"And what would that be?”
"Fire breathing. If only I used fire during the match, I could have won.”
Sighing at the comment, Brunder laughed saying, “There is always next time I guess. And I guess I have to make a new rule.”
The two lizard men walked back to the coliseum that day, and decided to wrestle. This time though, there were no rules to be broken.

這位紅蜥蜴Brunder，是位名叫The Rubrum Brethren之秘密組織的領導者。 而這位綠龍，Underax，從遙遠的東方前來，受Brunder的邀請前來加入這個組織。當然加入這個組織並不是隨意就能加入，還要通過一場考驗才行，而每個人的考驗會不一樣。但所有的測試皆考驗著參賽者是否有資格加入這個組織。
如你所見，這次對於Underax的考驗是摔角。
規則很簡單，不能肘擊、不能揮拳、踢人、爪擊，還有不能掐住對方。否則會被判失去資格。第一個壓倒對方的人就能贏得這場比賽。
經過幾個回合激烈爭鬥後，他們倆喘氣著，汗水覆蓋在他們龐大的身軀，血管也顯而易見。在另一場回合，Brunder再次快速大喊，並向Underax衝去。這一次，他們倆的雙手互相抓著對方的雙手。隨著力量的施展，他們心跳加速，汗水大量在額頭產生，並滴落到地板上，且他們的血管也因身體的緊繃而浮現在他們身軀上。
這時，Brunder大叫”啊啊”，將Underax推倒在地。綠龍眼見這場比賽即將輸去，他無視規則，逕自用他的左手掐住Brunder的脖子。
“你……竟然敢…” Brunder因為這強力的抓擊而吃力的喊著。但Underax不在乎，因為這是他唯一的機會能戰勝Brunder。隨著越來越用力勒住Brunder的脖子，大量的口水從Brunder的口中產生並流出，而滴到了綠龍的左手胳臂上。
漸漸的，綠龍發現他的左手越來越無力。”怎麼回事，我的手…”他心中想著，並試圖抵抗，但抵抗的力道越大，他的左手就越無力。最後，他的左手不再抓住了Brunder的脖子，而摔落在地上。
Brunder從容地擦拭著他的嘴，並吐口水在地上。”我的唾液內含有神經毒，能夠癱瘓掉對方的胳臂。我想既然你都作弊了，那我也可以這麼做。”壓著綠龍並說著
“原來如此…，”Underax試著移動他的左手但徒勞無功。
“你是從我當領導者以來第一次違規的人，為什麼你要這麼做!?”Brunder無法控制他的訝異感說著，並持續壓住綠龍的雙手。
“我…我…那是因為…”Underax結巴說著，似乎想回答什麼。
”你知道違規後的後果吧？告訴我你的原因！綠龍！”這隻紅蜥蜴打岔。
“因為...我想要待在這個地方!!”綠龍大叫，Brunder不語，似乎想再繼續聽綠龍說的。
”這裡是我作夢也想不到的地方，人們都對我很親切，且這裡的設備我都很喜歡，像是溫泉。最重要的是，我很欣賞在這裡各成員之間的友誼，所以現在最重要的事是我必須要贏得這場考試。” Underax停頓了一會兒。
“我…我曾經擁有它，但是…它卻離我而去。我沒有其他選擇，你真的是一位很厲害的人，所以我選擇違規來試看看是否能獲得勝利，不過看來我還是失敗了阿!” 綠龍笑著，眼中似乎泛著一點淚光。”好吧，我徹底的輸了，放開我吧，我現在就離開這裡。”Underax說。
安靜了幾秒鐘，紅蜥蜴沉思著，完全沒有動靜。”嘿，你在幹什麼，放我走吧。”綠龍疑惑地喊著。
”誰說你輸了，你已經證明了你自己可以加入我們。”紅蜥蜴說著並放開Underax的雙手。
“什麼…?我…我不是被你壓倒好幾遍了嗎?而且這一次我還違規，那麼我應該…”
“不!你不懂我的意思嗎?這是一個測驗，不只是摔角而已。”紅蜥蜴打岔，並逐漸起身，伸出他的左手去拉綠龍一把。
“我不懂你在說什麼。”Underax說著並被紅蜥蜴拉起身來。
“這項測驗最主要是考驗參賽者的耐心、力量、技巧，還有最重要的，是你的內心。我從摔角了解到你的耐心、力量和技巧已經足夠，但卻不了解你的想法。從剛剛的對話，我才了解到你的內心是否適合這裡。所以我才說你已經通過了測驗，儘管你違規了，但我看得出來你多麼在意Rubrum Brethren。”Brunder回答，並扶持著Underax的肩膀。” 真是抱歉，害你左手變成這樣。走吧，我帶你去治療。”
“謝謝，老兄…。”綠龍有點無力的說著。
“老實說，我很喜歡你的勇氣和個性，也許你能成為我很好的同伴。”
“哈哈，是嗎?謝謝你的稱讚。”他們倆消失在大廳中。
就這樣，Underax加入了The Rubrum Brethren，並且和Brunder有了很好的交情。過了幾天，Underax問了一個問題
“Brunder，還記得你上次說的那些規則吧，不過我發現你忘了提到一項。”
“哪一項?”
“噴火，如果那時我對你噴火的話，我一定會贏你的!”
Brunder嘆了一口氣，並帶著微笑說道：”我想我必須要訂個新的規則了。”
兩位蜥蜴人再次回到競技場，並決定再一次摔角。這一次，將不會有任何違規的事情發生。
