my jensen was all buried under the natural moss we got for him
i was like WHERE'D HE GOOOO and then after poking around i noticed him a few mins ago

and pedoo is chillin on the hammock

their chirping and suckling sounds on the sponge and moss is so adorable i'm gonna DIE FROM THE CUTE

i haven't held mine in my palm yet only because we just got pedoo 2 days ago and jensen we just got yesterday so i wanna like.. wait until they're used to the place for a few more days at least because they might be stressed and more prone to pinching. as long as you hold them on the flat of your palm they can't really pinch you i think! uvu they're supposed to be real sociable though but they have their own personalities so it's just basically watching them and then if you hold them, see how they react

jensen and pedoo are both super active and they like stretching out when you hold them instead of hiding
and pedoo likes... crawling on top of jensen and dominating him or something IT'S A HOMO CRAB THANG. he doesn't attack him though he was like doing that for a second before letting jensen hide away in the moss for hours

That sounds awesome. If I do decide to get a couple instead of the Fiddlers I was gonna get [because we have a fish tank that no one is using and Fiddler crabs trump fish ANY day. And I'm not allowed to have squid] I should probably just get Dave to help meee. Because I would probably end up not knowing how to tell if a crab is actually healthy or not.

definitely! my dad was like wow they're more entertaining than fish at least because he's owned a LOT of fish before, hermit crabs are actually less expensive than fish anyway =u=

i was really happy jensen had all of his legs and was actively moving since we got him from the pet store, while pedoo we got from seaside heights on the boardwalk because dad wanted a hermit crab eheh, i'm sure dave could give you a whole bunch of tips also of course~

The only place I've ever seen them for sale I would NEVER buy from, it's in a little touristy area around here and most of the crabs are dead I think 8C

yeah i agree! i have a spiderman shell but i'm prob gonna hold off on using it now that i have natural shells coming in :3

I saw one in a creepy clown shell once and I kinda wanted to get it just because it was moving and LOOK AT THAT HORRIFYING SHELL. ;A;

just wondering, I've seen a lot of you working for hermit crab shells, are they expensive where you live? o.O Cause there like $2-5 here

im ordering them online because the pet stores here have rly shitty quality ones 8( i'm ordering about 5

i've bought a 3/4 one, more of the ones i bought are on the 7/8 - 1" side though! and one is 1" 1/2 - 1" 1/4 just in case too since i know they like variety...
