So, about fifteen months ago,
punktiger linked to a piece of animated film that seriously screwed me up for over a year. I'm not going to link to it, that's how bad it was. It was a parody of sixties intermission films, and
timtylor got to play "therapist" for quite a while with me while I coped with it.
Last night, after I'd forgotten about it for a while, Tim and I discussed drive ins, which used to be sort of fun for me as a kid, honest. I found a site that actually had a REAL intermission film. I only saw the screencapture, but Tim, in pure "War Correspondent" mode, watched it and told me that, yes, this one was the big one that inspired the parody. The horrors of talking animated food and creepy imagery were there in all their glory.
I was so amused at how this whole thing really messed me up (I've since discovered I have a deep-seated OCD-esque aversion to horribly photographed food) that I drew this little thank-you to the mousie who has to hear me whine about idiotic neuroses like this.
Though if you wanted me to draw a talking popcorn box... you're out of luck.

So the link doesn't seem to work (the video was removed it seems), but was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wev6UaQKtAc the video in question?
It's a late reply, I know, but the video in question is [this one].
I found the note before I found your reply here, and I thank you kindly for that.
As a side note to intermission films, I know the Internet Archive has a bunch of those films available for online viewing. See -- http://archive.org/details/DriveInMovieAds
Here, have a [Toddy]. it's just grand.

Let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby :D
Oddly enough I only ever saw that in cartoons and comedies where they watched movies, they weren't ever shown in Australia, you bought all your stuff at the start I dont' remember an intermission from the 80's onwards.
