One of the earliest cons I attended when I first entered the furry fandom was Mephit FurMeet 2003, I was lucky to have joined a group organized by PandaGuy to ride out to the zoo to see a panda exhibit on loan from China. While at the zoo PG put on his fursuit for a brief appearance, the weather was terribly hot and humid but he managed to entertain the crowd there and gave everyone a smile.
