Cursed II - Sans toi (Chapter 20)

He died, not because of his cancer, or because he lose his control upon Aesir, but because he sacrified himself for humans while they condamned him. Why did he do that? Why did he desert her? She never was able to understand his abnegation, why he prefered the ones who condamed him to the one who loved him... A year, two years passed. Every day she hoped he will return to her, braving the death, that it was just a trick or just a nightmare. But no, this was the reality, he's dead. Day after day she tried to rebuilt her life without him and with the help of the Meute, but that wasn't a success. She even showed that she was just a beast, to devour a human since she couldn't control her anger to the humanbeing. No one can accept such a monster, and that's why she decided to return to him. She tried several times, but unfortunately her magical powers avoided her the death. Now that's her last chance.
She took her clothes off, putted it close to the ruined bed which was one day the den of her love. Snow's falling through the ruined house, in a village deserted after that battle where so many died. No one will never find her, and then the last furry in all the world will disappear in the very same place she discovered her true goal in her life : the love.

Cold, she was cold. She shivered violentely, and that began to act like bites, even to burn her. Slowly, everything was meaningless. The pain slowly decreased, and the sleep caught her. The end was never so close... So close to return to him...
