Yeah similar, it means you can opt to have the character be 'datable' and have their own ending.

from what I read and understood, we are paying YOU money to take OUR fursona's, character's, etc, to ABUSE in your game... Explain to me WHY we should do that? PLEASE?

The game is structured around a comedy base. I apologize the sense of humor in the game isn't to your taste. If you can constructively put what you would want done differently, please tell us! We are really open to feedback if give it to us in a way we can work around?

Nothing is wrong with the comedy, just the method on raising funds is odd. I'm just wondering why you're doing it this way.

I got the comedy and enjoyed the first game. I'm just trying to rationalize why I should put $50 or more to have my character put through the comedy ringer. Granted, it's an idea but still odd. The only question is why should I shell out money to have my character put through the comedy ringer?

Granted, many people want to have their fursona in a comedy but that is due to when someone cannot draw, write, and/or describe what they see in their mind's eye. In my opinion, EVERYONE can do that but rather leave it to a professional.

If the games were sold to companies THEN I could see how this is an option worth seeking out. But this game has yet been sold to a company for mass distribution worldwide. Unless you are hiding something from us.

So my question still stands and has yet to be answered. I'm confused and lost here. Please help me.

Idk what sort of answer you're looking for. I put down $220 on the first game because I wanted to see my character in the game, to see what Nai would do with his personality, and give myself and others the chance to "date" Kra-Ra. I found the results to be hilarious and well worth the money spent, especially after all the complements people gave me. Is this rational? Maybe, maybe not, but this isn't exactly a rational hobby to begin with :P

Irrationality is driving me to want to throw money in Nai-chan's direction! xD

Why does anyone pay for anything? because they want something being offered.

As you can clearly see, people want Nai to draw and include their character in the game, why? because she's offering a service, and people want to pay. It really isn't that hard to figure out.

It just scares me the idea of someone taking something personal that I claim as mine and being a puppet master. You have no say in the matter and they are free to violate and smear across the storyline as they see fit. They can do what they want. It's like giving a kid access to the character's chemical lab. They can cause so much harm that it would destroy that character forever.

Now mind you, there is also the good aspect of it. They can make your character a "demi-god", if you will, and make them immortal. That requires A LOT of trust when it comes to the person. That's waay to much trust that I'm willing to give a person.

Seeing it in the aspect of a commission is a little better point of view. I guess that answers my question in a sense. Thank you.

Random question: would a secondary love interest be visible right from the start, even if the option to start dating them is not readily visible until way later in the game? (like a set of sequences, or just progressing way far down one love interest path?)

If you have played the first game - I'll use Nai as an example of a secondary love interest, with a path that splits away from the "main" story at some point. They won't necessarily be in the opening scene (that could get pretty crowded) but more like a special surprise!

Also..I was playing the first puppy love game and I thought of something..
I know you have your confidence bar and you need it to stay high or you don't really make it to the end, but sometimes that seems a bit short in my opinion?
Perhaps later on, there could be 'rival' love interests? I guess it would also give more people a chance lol but you could make it harder on the main character to get a date if say the girl or guy character he wanted to be with already had someone else that was trying to court them also?
Lol I don't know, I just think it would be a bit more fun and interesting. But I love Puppylove the way it is, and it's super cute. Plus that may be hard to work with..(I'm just thinking like, giving the love interests like "love" meters or something lol)

that actually is pretty interesting ;o although when i was first reading it, my mind instantly went over to "harem-style" animes like Tenchi Muyo! and Ah! My Goddess. And now that I think about it, while it could technically be possible to court two different people at the same time and go to a date with one on each arm, I see it being much harder to pull off, both story wise and play-wise. I think it'd almost be easier just to stick to the bland harem-style where and potentially have love interests just fight each other for the main character...

although..a thought just clicked in my head! I'm not sure if I'm saying exactly what SmudgeGlider is saying, but what if there was a rival lover that was competing with you for some of the men or women...BUT! Instead of the options only being to seduce and gain the love of the ones they're vying for, what if you are able to seduce that rival and turn him or her into a love interest :o

Well..harem could work I guess..in my opinion it would then turn into just a 'collect ALL the love interests!' lol
But there's the whole not all characters are alike, so if you have a bloodthirsty love interest and a super pacifist nun love interest, it would be difficult to keep both 'happy' and that would be super interesting to have in the game! Make multiple love interests but you can't please all of them all the time..otherwise their just like..empty lol
Not sure how I would feel about turning a rival into a love interest, just because leaving them a rival would be much more fun in my opinion unless they were total tsundere xD

It took me a bit to really understand the "harem-style" anime mindset. Technically, we already have that -kinda- going on with Puppy Love. It's not so much as "gotta date 'em all!" As it is "so many girls with a huge crush on you and in such close proximity to each other than tempers flare and they fight over you".

I'm almost positive that given certaib circumstances, we could've seen more of that between Theo and Kra-Ra in the last game.

Also: that's kind of the idea i had with the rival! They're the total player type, and they love making smooth moves on people, but when someone breaks them down and starta flattering them, they almost adapt a different personality altogether! They go from that calm, suave, independent fur to someone that's helpless and needs someone to be there for them. They pretty much become on the level of all the other love interests, but are instantly in a more ideal place to share their feelings right off the bat!

What i mean to say is "the rival loses their power, and they lose their drive to compete with the others"

They could've had that interest in the main character all along, but they just never openly expressed it to anyone. Maybe they thought the main character was too good for them?
