I couldn't believe the overwhelming response the rough sketch of this one got. Thank you all! I did have a major setback that delayed this upload by several hours. I had gotten the flat coloring done after work, but too tired to shade and finish, so I took a 3 hour nap. I had gone to wake my tablet and the program crashed. I didn't save it. I had to go from my rough that was already scaled down, so the lines look a bit bolder than usual, but I put more time into the lineart the second time around, namely ears, eyes, and feet that didn't quite look right at first.
To anyone who is a novice like me, the invert tool in SAI is great for making features properly symmetrical. Also, if your art doesn't look good, don't give up. It took me a very long time to get where I'm at now and I feel like I still have a lot of room for improvement. It's good to look at artists whom inspire you, and learn how they do things, but you'll find your own style. My style has actually developed from long before I found the fandom, when I'd draw pseudo-anime style characters inspired by Dragonball Z as I was a fan at the time. Inspiration may reflect in everything you do, but keep in mind that what you're drawing is a part of you.
Now go forth and create!
