This is probably the most realistic picture I've ever drawn of Hux. I tried to give him more anatomically accurate feet and legs, though there are still some considerable errors - I'm sure the raised front leg is too long, and the knees on his back legs (one of those wonderful quirks about elephants) are definitely not positioned right. Despite the inaccuracies though, I'm quietly happy with the way this one came out.
Notably, this is also the first time I have ever tried an elephant skin texture, sourced from various photographs found on Google and applied using a texture brush set to multiple scales and rotations. It isn't perfect - strictly speaking it should be much more varied and is probably far too large in places - but I feel it gives the right impression.
As mentioned above, this image features in one of the demonstrations on my site's brand new Tutorials page. A time-lapse video (approx 64x real-time) shows how I went about texturing and shading the picture once it was coloured.

I'll draw him again when I'm in the mood for it. To be fair, I hadn't drawn Cassie for about 4 years before I did the worship picture of her earlier this year. And besides, it's been even longer since I drew Carlos or Skyra.
