Well I finaly finished my scythe

well not entirely It needs a few minor touch ups but thats cosmetic

To start with I found a young blow down. It was still alive but not for long. no tree I know of can survive with a 90 degree bend in it's trunk.

So I took about 8 or 9 feet home with me (the rest I used the next day) after about 10 minutes with a jigsaw I got the first picture It's about 6 feet tall there.

Next was about 20 minutes work with a knife and 2 hours sanding

The next step is to join the blade to the staff, as you can see I'm planning to use some artificial leather to cover most of my work.

In the next one you can see I used wood screws to fasten the metal stripping to the blade, I uses steal studs to attache to the staff.

On the side opposite of the battery space I ran the screws threw the leather. I uses velcro strips on the leather and over the screwsso I can have easy access to the battery case.

And the last two images are the finished product the first is with the flash which bleached out the light and the second is with out for a better glow.
